Need some time to think..

Audrey's Pov

'I told Connor what happened when I was younger... I just never told him about Grace. I don't think I have enough information on what she is yet. I'll have to ask her more questions....' I mutter to myself as I did my work. I was also listening to some music, it was a piano ballad. One of my favourites.

It always somehow, reminded me of myself. I don't know why though.

I felt someone tap on my shoulder. I took my headphones off and look up to see Hank. "Can I talk to ya, kid?" Ha asked. He looked concerned and confused. "Yeah." I say and follow him to one of the storage rooms.

"So, you told Connor what happened when you were younger?" He asked me, not looking up from the ground. "Yeah.... did he tell you?" "Yeah. He told me he felt bad for you. That he was worried about last night." Hank told me, i look at him with surprise on my face. "Heh, I see he is helpin you. Your showin more emotions by the hour... maybe he is that saviour your parents always told ya about.." Hank said smiling at me. I just smile back.

'Maybe you're right Hank.... maybe you're right..' I think to myself as we left the room. 'Those two have really grown on you, haven't they?' Grace asked me, I could tell by the way her voice was, that she was smiling as well. 'Yeah.. they have. Hank is like family, and Connor, I think I've fallen for him.. every time he's near, I get butterflies in my stomach..' I tell her. 'Good! Next step is to be more confident!' Grace tells me. 'Right.' I mutter and walk back to my desk. I notice Connor looking at the files on my desktop.

"We have another deviant case." He tells me, 'great... and here I thought there weren't anymore...' I mutter to myself as I grabbed my keys. "C'mon you two. Let's head on over." I say. Hank and Connor follow behind me. "Where is it?" I ask Connor, who looked like he was lost in thought. "Stratford Tower. That's where the crime scene is. The deviants were able to get in and broadcast from Channel 16 news." Connor tells me without looking at me. 'Strange. He usually looks at me when talking.' I thought to myself as I stared at him. "Connor, why don't you go with Hank. I would like to be alone with my thoughts." I tell him.

"What!? No way! I'm not letting him go with me! Connor is going with you." Hank protests. I go over to Hank, and pull him down to my height. "Listen, I need to be alone with my thoughts. I would like to not have someone with me. Connor goes with you." I say, very annoyed. 'Careful! Don't get too annoyed. You could loose it!' Grace tells me.

"Fine. C'mon Connor." Hank says and walks to his car. I hear him say how Connor was gonna drive. I just sigh in frustration. 'I really need to talk with you...' I say to Grace as I get into my own car, and follow Hank's car.

(Now this part might be confusing, but I'm gonna change from Connor and Audrey's Pov. A-Audrey. C-Connor)

A- "So, now that I'm alone, I can talk aloud." I say, 'that's right! But it's gonna make you look wired..' Grace says with a little bit of a laugh. "Your point? Anyway, what are you exactly supposed to be? Are you a spirit, a random voice I have in my head, or, something my dad did to me?" I ask her. 'I'm... between the first and third.' "Oh..."

C- "Why do you think Audrey wanted to be alone with her thoughts?" Hank asked as I kept driving. "I don't know. It possibly had to do with something from last night. Probably the nightmare she had." I reply as I stoped at the red light. I look at the rear mirror to see Audrey talking to thin air. 'Strange..' "Does She always talk to herself?" I ask Hank as the light turned green. "Yeah... a lot. Sometimes, she would also reply to herself as well. Like the 'person' she talks to is in her head as well. When she comes and picks me up, she usually talks to herself as she drives, completely forgetting I'm there." Hank says, looking out the window. 'I see.'

A- "Well that gave me a little more info on you. I'll ask more later. For now, lets's get this investigation over with." I say to Grace and park my car, right beside where Connor parked Hank's car. 'Alright!' Grace said in return.

Audrey's Pov

We were in the elevator, Connor was doing his coin trick, it seemed that Hank got annoyed with it and said, "Your starting to piss me off with that coin, Connor." And took the coin. "Sorry Lieutenant..."

(Your starting to piss me off with that Connor, coin... I couldn't help myself...)

(Anyway, thank you for reading this chapter, I will be away for a few days, I have a family vacation, so I'll post a little bit later than usual. I'll see you all next time, bye!)
