Julian slammed the book shut.
At night the library seemed peaceful, but when your sort of a ghost or astral projecting yourself into the library that's currently locked. And it has a lot of security, then their isn't really much to worry about.
As Julian, brought every book of Mythology in the library. All he could do is stare at the pages because their is no way he will be in this whole, "God" mess all over again.
But Dante didn't give up, he kept flipping the pages furiously, researching everything. He wanted the knowledge. The idea of everything he had in every mythology.
Everything on Preces.
But as long as Dante kept on flipping the pages furiously. He couldn't find anything on Perces, other than he is the son of a titan and the meaning of his name is "The destroyer" which made Dante flinch a bit.
A god setting foot in a human territory would be dangerous.
"Any luck?" Julian asks, his eyes tired from staring at the books all day long. "Dante, tell me you found something. And I'm not justa staring at nothingness."
Dante growled, "shut up! Im trying to read."
Julian suddenly laughed, "Your kidding right?"
Dante's eyes flickered to his, fury burned right through them. "I have two books right in front of me. One of them is a hardcover book and then the other one is a paperback. Which one do you want me to hit you with? Or do you prefer to shut up?"
Julian propped his chin on her fist, "what does Aristotle even see in you?"
Dante cranes his neck to see him, he looks at him dead in the eye. "Hardcover or Paperback?"
Julian rubs his temples, "I'll rather go with paperback."
'Of course you would," Dante mumbled.
Dante looked at the literature, there is nothing beyond the words that helped him. Nothing that said how to destroy the god. But as he read and Julian just stared at him, Dante starts to jerk.
Julian stood quickly, his invisible chair squeaking against the oak floor.
"Dante!" Julian shouted. He gripped his shoulders shaking him.
"That won't do any good."
Julian shields Dante's body with his own. "Look I know what you are. You don't a grudge on him. I am the one who sneaked around your club, don't hurt him."
Perces laughed. He looked at Dante, his eyes staring right at him with fire. Fire he once seen in his enemies.
"Dante Quintana, Daniel has talked so much about you. I almost pity the boy and Natalia for trying to save your life right now," Perces said with a smirk.
The library changed to the hospital were nurses and doctors have been hovered around Dante's bed.
Dante struggle out of Preces hold.
He couldn't do anything but watch as the machine beeped a straight line.
Aristotle starting to freak out.
Suddenly Dante's world went dark as the machine showed signs of life. The only thing he saw is the man's face smirking right at him before his soul left the familiar breach between reality and fantasy.
An unfamiliar veil longer than expected. Unable to be breach, invisible to touch, unable to connect with humanity.
Preces walked on earth as King.
But Aristotle and Dante walked on it for years.
And they are marching as warriors...
