Mysterious Old Man's POV
I was being beaten up by a group of street children. Being the weak old man that I used to be, i couldn't fight back. As the time passes by, I felt my body getting sore. Until a young lady ran towards me, shouting.
"DON'T YOU ALL HAVE RESPECT? HE'S OLDER THAN YOU YET YOU BEAT HIM UP LIKE HE'S NOTHING?" she yelled with all her might causing the streetchildren to run further away from where we were.
As I was trying to regain my strength, she continuously bombarded me with questions. She was constantly asking me if I was alright. She even offered to bring me to the hospital but I refused.I told her that I don't have money for the bills which was true. Im just an old man here looking for someone and waiting for years. As she spoke to me, she kind of reminded me of 'her'. She resembles a few things about her like her smile. Her worried face. Her eyes. Her voice. Her personality. Almost everything. Seeing those things that the young lady did to me, I started to remember the past.
I just wish I would see her again.
Maybe soon. Maybe someday.END OF POV
Corrinne's POV
As I was walking in the park, an old man caught my attention. He was being beaten up by street children. I rushed to him and yelled at the kids."DON'T YOU ALL HAVE RESPECT? HE'S OLDER THAN YOU YET YOU BEAT HIM UP LIKE HE'S NOTHING?"
They sprinted away from the place leaving me and the bloodied old man.
"Sir are you okay? Do you want me to bring you to the hospital?" I said to him worried.
"Maam Im okay, I don't have money to pay for hospital bills. It'll heal soon." He said as I frowned at his words.
"I insist,Sir. Don't worry about the bills, I'll take care of them. Now let's go so that your wounds could be treated." He looked at me as I said those words, tears making their way to his eyes.
"Thank You,Maam." He said as I helped him to stand up.
"Thank You for what,Sir?" I said,puzzled.
"For helping me, for being kind. You know people like you are rarely seen nowadays. The man that will receive love from you would be so lucky." He said to me, a smile making its way to his face.
I looked at him for a while as I remembered Hendrix.
I chuckled."Those words of yours are true,Sir but I guess you got something wrong." I said while helping him to enter my car. He looked at me, confusion showing in his face.
"What do you mean,Ma'am? Would you mind to tell me? You could trust me with it. I promise." I looked at him, processing what he just said. Why do I feel so comfortable with him considering the fact that I just met him? Why do I feel that there is a strange connection between us?
As we arrived at the hospital, we were greeted by the nurses and they quickly treated his wounds. He resembles someone that I couldn't fully remember. It's weird though. After a couple of minutes, they released him and we went to my restaurant. I told the staff to give us a table for two and he nodded. As soon as we sat in the table, I gave him the menu and he just stared at it.
"Ma'am I'm afraid to say that I can't afford this but I appreciate your help. Thank You Maam" he said, about to stand up and leave but I held him back, chuckling.
"Don't worry Sir. You don't have to pay for it. Its my treat for listening to me a while ago. Even though the story isn't that interesting but you still payed attention to it. Thank You. And I would really appreciate it if you would accept my treat" I said as I smiled at him. He smiled back.
"My pleasure, Maam" he smiled back as he sat back on his sit again.
We ordered a couple of dishes and ate. After eating, I became curious. I had spent almost my whole day with him yet I don't know his name.
AISH YOU'RE SUCH A PABO, CORRINNE
I gathered up my courage and asked him as he was too caught up with the city's night view.
"Uhmm.. Sir If you don't mind, can I ask for your name?" I asked calmly, not wanting to seem rude.
"Oh yes, Ma'am. I almost forgot to tell you my name. I'm Albert. How about you, Ma'am?"
Albert. Why does it seem familiar?
It feels like I already heard that name but not sure where...
"I-I'm Corrinne. Please call me Corrinne."
I said as soon as I realized that he was waiting for my answer. As we were about to talk again, I received a phone call from an unknown number, nevertheless, I answered it.
"How are you, Princess? Did you miss me?"
That evil voice. He's back. The devil is back at his works.
