She could feel the tears start to burn her eyes. She knows that everyday that passes is signalling to her that she needs to hurry up and now she's one less strong. She doesn't understand why Ji Su is chiming into the coffee shop drinking her coffee all happy when she knows that they've lost a person. God knows what happened to him. They could have killed him for all she knows. They have less than 3 months. That's not a lot of time. Maybe she can never find her Jin. Maybe it was all just a dream way too good to be true. Maybe Jin was... was... never even ever alive.
But he was real. He has got to be. She remembered the day all too well. The police had come and taken her parents to speak about him. She sent them off happy. But the police did return once more. They asked her to step out of the house for a couple of hours and asked if she could go somewhere else for the time being. She obeyed and went to Ji Su's house. When she returned the police had left and taken all the things that even hinted that someone called Jin lived there. But they took more than that away from her. They took all the fond memories she had left for him after he disappeared. She too would have completely fallen for their trick if she still didn't have the ring on her finger. The ring is her only proof left that he lived. She wears it everyday, hiding it from her parents so that they do not turn it in to the police. She was so absorbed into her thoughts that she completely forgot about Ji Su and the coffee shop when Ji Su's voice drags her out again.
"Calm down! I'm happy because there is a reason to be happy. Don't you want to know why I am happy!"
Yi Su was about to have another go at her but Ji Su didn't even give her the chance to respond.
"I am happy because I am happy for you. And me as well. But anyway I found out that I know someone who knows someone who lives outside SKY. They said that they will give us supplies for big rebellions, silent demonstrations and much more. They also said that eventually he could help us find a way to get in and out of SKY. Aren't you happy about that?"
She was right. Yi Su knew it. She has every right to be happy. Without this mysterious helper they would have to stop rebelling because supplies were drying up in the country. But this. This has shone a whole new light on her. It is almost as if god came and lifted all the problems off her shoulders. All the time limits and pressure have been freed of her back. Ji Su was right. She has every right to be happy and here I am messing up and being rude to her before I even hear her out.
