Yi Su's POV
"I need to tell you guys something first..." Yi Eun said.
"What is it?" Jin asked as he finally finished preparing his tea. He stood next to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I saw a tear escape Yi Eun's eye. Whatever she wanted to say it was serious. I prompted her to speak.
"I- I don't know how to explain.." she stammered. I looked at her and shrugged of Jin's arms. I walked up to her and comforted her and assured her that whatever it is we will accept as a family. I (for some reason) honestly thought she was talking about some secret love.
"Yi Su..." she suddenly became serious. "Death isn't an end. It is a new beginning. Everyone is running for this finish line yet so many people fear it. It is nothing to be feared of. It is just the end of one race and the beginning of a whole new one. Life decides when you want to finish the race. It isn't right for you to try and decide when to finish. You shouldn't go too early or try to stay too late and suffer in medical issues. When life says to your face "It is your time to begin a new race", you must accept it and move on." I nodded my head and agreed with her even though I didn't know why she was suddenly telling me this about her love.
"Also as your older sister I must guide you through you race until my part of the relay is done. Then you start a new relay with your life partner Jin." she nodded in the direction of Jin. "Just like how you must accept your own death you should also accept the death of someone else. They should be congratulated for coming so far in the race and finishing it on time. So if I left one day, you mustn't be upset OK? Congratulate me for coming this far." I nodded and looked at her in puzzlement. Suddenly her face smoothed and she smiled at me. She stepped away from the crowd of BTS and my friends to stand in a free area. She smiled and waved. I waved back honestly thinking she was playing a prank until a golden sparkly mist started clouding around her legs up to her knees. I gasped in sheer terror and fear because I was slowly letting the reality sink in. The reason why Yi Eun told me all this. In front of my eyes I saw my favourite, unique yet awesome twin sister who was born on a different day and has a different star sign to me slowly disappear into a golden dust. I tried to run up to her but Jin held my hand and shook his head at me. Now all I could see of her was her face. I thought for a second of what note I was going to leave her on. I suddenly yelled "Congratulations for winning the race!". My tears came out now and I waved a long sincere wave to her as finally her face disappeared into the golden mist with a restful look on her. Yi Eun has done me proud and after watching over me for all my life I hope she can finally rest in peace. Goodbye Yi Eun, I hope your new race is just as fun as your old one.
