Life is undeniably messy
It chews you up and spits you out
Sucking out the flavours from your soul
Giving you confidence and then making you doubt
It wraps around your creativity
And tangles your heartstrings in knots
It messes with you mind and crushes your dreams
Destroying all that you've got
It teases you with fleeting glimpses
Of happiness and sunny days
And then it takes you by your smile
And shoves you in the midst of a hurricane
It leaves you with gaping wounds so deep
That they are impossible to stitch
Therefore it cannot and will not be denied:
Life is a stupid little bitch.
