Come my little dandelion
Let me hold you tight
Let me wipe away all your worries
And help you brave the night
Let me dry your tears and comfort you
As you tell me all your fears
Tell me all your doubts and troubles
Show me your demons my dear
Tell me why you're so very scared
Of the future that's drawing near
Tell me why you say the future
Is the monster you fear
I will listen to you in careful silence
With more love than you could realise
And then little dandelion I will tell you
Why we're so afraid of goodbyes
I'll explain to you the way of the world
I'll show you the courage you've got
I'll prove to you that fear is an obstacle
That would cost you a lot.
And when your eyes fill with understanding
And you're able to conquer your fears
I'll hold you tight and let you go
With one last piece of advice my dear:
Oh darling don't you worry about where you're going
Life will carry you along with ease
But know that Dandelion seeds have no control
Over the direction of the breeze.
