prove me wrong

He found constellations in the dust underneath my bed
I swore to him that I couldn't love him
He told me he'd prove me wrong and
whispered song lyrics in my ears
until I saw galaxies hidden in the dying grass and he
carved poetry out of my grey skies until they were
drowning in words that
only had deeper meanings if you looked at them
from a certain angle
but he taught me how to look
and then he carved half a heart onto my wall and asked me to complete it but I was still unsure
so he kissed me with lips
that tasted like cotton candy clouds
and breathed love into my soul
