this is not dying
This is a story
Of astronauts in their glory
Of days spent in the sunshine
Of running out of time
Of years spent under rainfall
Of not growing up at all
This is a simple thank you
To weeks when things were blue
To skies devoid of clouds
To silence when life was loud
To laughter and to tears
To overcoming fears
This is just a smile
To acceptance and denial
To learning and to living
To random times of giving
This is a mere beginning
Of losing and of winning
Of life as it keeps changing
Of the joys that comes with aging
This for the ones who
Know of sadness too
And yet they smile and laugh
When they cannot see the path
This is not a ending
It's just that the road is bending
And the turn is coming on so fast
That it leaves no time for the past
This is for the brand new
And this is for all of you.
