"mom susunduin mo po ba ako o ihahatid na ako ni dad?" 13 year old charmaine mendoza-faulkerson asked her mom whose busy preparing her things

which do you prefer? maine asked her daughter

"sunduin mo na lang po ako"

ok sige basta text mo ko what time kita susunduin ha? maine advised

"ok po. mom alis na po kami ni dad" she kissed her mom's cheek

be a good girl ok? and don't give your dad a hard time

"lagi naman po akong good girl" she smiled then hugged her mom

"i will mom" she said then waved her mom goodbye

hi sweetheart

"hi dad" she greeted her father then kissed his cheeks

missed me?

"hindi masyado" she giggled

magtatampo na yata ang daddy mo ah

"dad paano naman kita mamimiss eh pag humaharap ako sa salamin nakikita kita! ayan oh!" she moved closer to him and held her dad's face

her father chuckled at his daughter's antics.

bolera ka din talaga eh! ang mom mo?

"she's getting ready for her seminar. bakit mo tinatanong?" she raised her eyebrows and gave her father a sly smile

wala lang. hindi na ba siya lalabas?

"hindi na nagkiss na sa akin eh"

ahhh... ok he said with disappointment

he had not seen the mother of his daughter for a few months already. last time was their daughter's birthday, october 24 it's already december.

"mahal mo pa mommy ko noh?" she teased her father

alam mo ikaw. tara na nga baka maiwan pa tayo ng eroplano!

oh he does. it had been seven years since the court voided their marriage. but that void on the papers did not void the love he has for maine. and until now he still longs for her. he knows that until now his heart belongs to her. only her.

"dad pinapaalala ko lang sayo ha, ikaw ang piloto"

she knew her dad still loves her mom and for sure her mom does too what she can't figure out is the why.

she knows it. her dad's way of avoiding getting into the topic. what happened to her parents is still a puzzle she hasn't solved. she asked her mom, her only response was, 'we're not meant to be together but always remember in your heart that we love you...' that's it. and she knows well not to push the questions.
