Baby Don't Leave Me

This last week had been hell for Stevie. She had things that she needed to do and she couldn't even leave her house without being harassed by the fucking paparazzi. Why did anyone even care what she was doing? So what, she was pregnant, ok. People got pregnant everyday. Even if she was having some secret affair did they really think that she would be sneaking him into her home with them all around all the time? This was giving her a headache to even think about. The doctor said her blood pressure was high and with her age and stage of pregnancy she needed to be focused on relaxing and staying stress free. Preeclamspia wasn't something that she wanted to deal with. Easier said than done, Stevie thought. She was ready for Lindsey to get here, he was the only one that could help her calm down and reassure her. They were going to have to be careful about him coming. Honestly Stevie didn't care if everyone knew about Lindsey, but she did know that it wouldn't be good for him and Kristen if it was public knowledge. Sometimes even she couldn't believe the story of their lives in the last year or so. She focused on getting Lindsey here without any attention. It wasn't going to be easy.

Lindsey walked out of his studio after hanging up with Stevie. After Kristen's blow up about the photos of he and Stevie she had been semi-agreeable. He didn't really want to rock the boat. This was something that he had to get through for the next few months and then he would be free from her. He played with the kids for awhile, he would be leaving soon and wanted to get in a little more time of fun with them before he left for a week. "How long are you going to be gone this time Lindsey?" Kristen asked in a pleasant tone. He was a little surprised. "A week, same as before. I'll spend a week here and a week there. Stevie's having some issues with the pregnancy and is needing to rest so I'm hoping to take care of some things for the babies while I'm there so she doesn't have to worry." He thought maybe he had shared to much at the end, but he was also trying not to hurt her feelings by conveying that he was also there prepare for the babies, not just to see Stevie. Even though they both knew that he was going so he and Stevie would be partners in every sense of the way. She actually acted concerned, like she cared, "Oh no Lindsey, what is going on? Are she and the babies going to be ok?" Now Lindsey was really thrown for a loop. When had Kristen ever given a fuck about Stevie or their babies? He was pretty sure Kristen hated her. She didn't have a good reason, but he knew she was jealous. But for the sake of being agreeable he answered. "Um, well her blood pressure has been really high, most likely from stress, the paparazzi are pretty much camped outside of her house so that is probably the cause of it. Anyway, with her age and the fact that she is carrying multiples the doctor has told her she needed to rest, or stay in bed anyway. There is a lot to do in the nursery and lots of things to be purchased that she really can't do now. Not to mention she was hoping to come to LA and do a nursery in her house here before they were born, but that's out of the question now." The words were spilling out of his mouth. He didn't know why he was telling Kristen these things. He guessed maybe because he didn't really have anyone to talk to really. Kristen paused for a moment and then replied, "Well Lindsey I was thinking of taking the kids to see my parents next week, so why don't you stay a little longer? Then when you come home you can be less stressed and have a more enjoyable time with the kids. How much longer does she have anyway?" Lindsey thought for a moment. That would be really convenient, he thought it was a great idea. He tried to place the date and when he knew Stevie was due. "Um, well that would be great Kristen. It would give me some time to get things finished up there and it would be nice to just have some carefree time with Will and LeeLee. I'm trying to think, she's due January 10th so I guess we have about 3 months left." "You also have to consider that with twins she probably won't go full term. You do need to get things taken care of down there, you don't have much time." Kristen said. "Thanks Kristen. I guess I'm going to put Will to bed and then pack." He did appreciate Kristen being so understanding. He didn't know where it was coming from but he hoped it meant they could be friends after all this was over with. That would be best for the kids.
