Lindsey waited backstage as he heard the crowd roaring through the venue for her. 10,000 people screaming her name. It was somewhat satisfying to know that the woman that they all wanted was his. He had her at anytime. However, it was increasingly hard to deny that some of the old jealousies were rising to the surface. He was having a hard time fighting them back after the first few months. They had been doing this for four months now and he was itching to be on stage. To bask in the adulation that Stevie received night after night. Did he have 10,000 people screaming his name at every solo show? No. That hurt. He still didn't understand why Stevie overshadowed him so easily. Even her worst selling album sold more than his best selling album. He wasn't angry with her anymore, it wasn't her fault. He couldn't blame anyone for being enchanted with Stevie's songwriting, with her voice. She was hypnotizing. She hypnotized him after all this time. He just wanted to play. He always had a hard time doing nothing and sitting backstage with the girls every night for 4 months while Stevie sang her heart out was starting to get to him. He'd have to talk to her about it.

Stevie whisked into the room, hot and tired, but glowing from the adulation from the crowd. It gave her such an adrenaline rush she thought she wouldn't get any sleep tonight. Her mood changed as she noticed that Lindsey was deep in thought. She had sensed that he was growing restless, but was waiting for him to bring it up. "Hello darlings!" she said breaking the silence in the room. "Great show babe, you were fantastic as usual." he said before kissing her. "Thanks Lindsey. I miss seeing you to my left though. It's not really the same without you." she said. He smiled lovingly at her, "I know, I miss performing with you too. To be completely honest Stevie, I'm really missing performing period. I haven't gone out in a long time, haven't really worked in studio in quite some time either. I need to play." he told her honestly. Stevie thought for a moment. She still had two more months of this tour and wasn't really sure of the best way to handle this. "Ummm, well, would you want to do some shows with me? I mean I know it's not ideal for you, but my fans love you and it's not like you wouldn't receive a great reception." she offered. "Maybe, I'll have to think about it some Stevie. I've really got to go back to LA soon to see the kids and Mick called today." he admitted. "Mick called? Haven't talked to him in a while. What's going on with Mick?" she asked curiously. Lindsey took a deep breath before speaking. "Well Stevie, the band wants to do another album." "Another album? Without Chris? And what do you mean the band? Mick and John decided this or you as well?" she asked angrily. Stevie hadn't even wanted to go on this tour, work on this album. She wanted to finish this up and spend some time at home. "Well, the three of us. We thought you would want this Stevie." he pled with her. "I have to think about this Lindsey. Things have changed since the last time we were all together. I thought we would be getting married when I finished the tour, not making an album." she huffed before grabbing the girls and heading to the car.

Lindsey went back to LA the next week telling Stevie he would be back in two weeks. Lori had agreed to come on tour with her until Lindsey came back and Stevie was glad to have Lori's presence. She had to admit it was much harder without Lindsey and she missed him so much. They hadn't really resolved much before he left. Stevie agreed to an album as they would make one without her and she didn't want that and also because it was what Lindsey wanted. Stevie hoped that the recording process would change with their relationship becoming much more mellow and enjoyable. She couldn't focus much on it though. She really had no time for anything else. The twins were keeping her so busy, they were crawling and babbling and trying to pull up on everything. "Scarlett baby, be careful! You're going to get hurt!" Stevie exclaimed as Scarlett was trying to pull herself up onto the bed. Stevie was definitely feeling her age chasing two 8 month olds around. She loved it though, wouldn't trade it for anything. When she was feeling particularly angry with the world or Lindsey she just looked at their little faces and all her cares melted away. She couldn't stay mad at Lindsey when she saw his eyes on her face in the form of Scarlett. Scarlett was the perfect display of the combination of the two. Sara was as well, but Sara was much more like Stevie and could have been Stevie's twin. When she finally had them asleep she wrote in her journal and laid down to sleep wishing Lindsey was there to hold her.
