"Not to be a downer, but I think they are closer to finding out the truth," Chris said nonchalant. He continued tossing a random dagger and smirked when he heard his Majesty growl in frustration.
"Shut it!" He growled, causing Chris to laugh slightly. "I need you to create a distraction, anything just make sure Diana and Candy don't forgive each other!" He growled once more, beckoning a demon servant closer. The demon walked up and bowed, not making eye contact. "Bring me some wine," the demon nodded and scurried off. Chris tsked causing his Majesty to turn around annoyed.
"You shouldn't be drinking on the job my dear friend," Chris smirked again when he glared at him.
"Go cause a distraction will you?!" Chris smirked, almost catlike.
"With pleasure."
"Diana please just go talk to Candy!" Angel begged tugging on Diana's elbow.
"I'm not going to go talk to a traitor," Diana said stubbornly.
"Candy isn't a traitor! Your vision is warped! Do the spell and you'll see the truth! Don't be like Cleopatra and have this vision be your downfall!" Angel reasoned as she tugged once more. Diana huffed and let herself be dragged by Angel into the other room.
"What is this fucker doing here?!" Candy demanded, standing up quickly and glaring at Diana. Diana glared back as Seokjin held Candy slightly back.
"Okay listen," Arianna began, glancing from one girl to the other. "The vision was warped, Candy, we know you aren't a traitor, and we need Diana to do the spell!" Diana looked at Arianna and gave her a look of disbelief.
"Who said I would be doing that?!"
"Diana please!" Namjoon begged, holding a book in his arms. Diana hesitated and her mind went to all of her moments with Candy. All of the training, jokes, tears. All of them she shared with Candy. Diana sighed and unconsciously, she hoped that her visions are warped.
"Fine, give me the book." Everyone let out a breath they didn't know they were holding at those words. Diana flipped through the book and caught sight of the steps. She looked at them worriedly.
"Are you sure?" She asked uncertain. Everyone nodded and Diana sighed. "I won't do it unless you get in a shield." Kylie rolled her eyes and motioned for Angel to help her make a shield. Quickly, they both got to work. Lavender swirls mixed in with black, a swirling combination that made the boys look at it in awe.
Diana set down the book and brought out a small dagger. The boys stared curiously, unsure as to what the dagger is for. Diana gripped the dagger tighter and it hovered over her palm. She never got a chance to slice her palm.
Candy brought up her arm when a harsh, bright light blinded her. Her ears rang as the explosion sounded, shaking the shield slightly. She looked up scared and saw Diana's back towards the explosion, her wings protecting her. Candy's eyes widened when she took in the strange half man half hedgehog type creature.
"Is that—" Marisol began before Candy interrupted.
"Angel open this shield!" Candy demanded. Angel opened her mouth to protest. "That's an order! Stay here and protect the boys, I'll help out Diana!" Candy stated, pulling out her double-bladed sword. Her eyes shined dangerously as she glared at the creature.
"No this is a dea—" Angel began.
"Do it." She hesitated but opened the shield slightly. Candy darted out, not glancing back. Everyone held their breath as Candy moved next to Diana, both of them had their weapons at hand.
"Plan?" Candy asked as the creature sniffed around, not noticing them at first.
"Thought we'd just wing it," Diana offered unhelpful. Candy shrugged and stood in her stance.
"Good enough for me." Immediately, they both charged, Candy darting to the left and Diana the right. They both sliced, just as the demon looked up. It screeched loudly, causing Candy to wince slightly. Both girls got ready for the next attack, already sensing what the other had in mind. Diana narrowed her eyes as she looked at the creature. That looks a lot like—
"To your left!" Candy cried out, bringing Diana back to reality. Diana quickly jumped back and blocked an arrow.
"Candy! That's a pukwudgie!" Diana exclaimed, darting towards the demon.
"A what?!"
"Duck!" Candy ducked down and glanced at Diana quickly.
"Don't get hit by its arrows, they're poisoned!" Candy nodded in response and went in. She sliced quickly and looked in surprise as the thing disappeared and reappeared farther away from them.
"Wha—"
"It's a high class demon! Stay alert!" Diana warned before flying in, her hands sparking with magic. Candy nodded and decide Magic was the best thing for her to do now. Her hands sparked a light pink, mixing in with a violent red color. Diana smirked at the sight and her hands sparked more, showing a dark blue and celestial blue mixing together.
Candy lunged, shooting forth a small orb that caused a small explosion near him. Diana caught on quick to her strategy and shot another orb. Slowly, they both cornered it into a small room, the creature not noticing until Candy reached for the door knob.
It happened like it was in slow motion. Candy saw out of the corner of her eye the creature reaching for an arrow. She remembered thinking that this is how she dies. She remembered her thoughts running wild as her mind brought up all of her memories. It wasn't her life that passed through her eyes, but rather lives.
She saw herself in Egyptian clothes, staring into a group of people she killed with her hands. She saw herself meeting Seokjin again, but instead he was Marc Antony. She saw herself die once more.
She saw the after effects of the Black Plague, and she saw the cold dead eyes of her soulmate.
Her mind brought up the picture of her laughing with two other girls. Miya and Ariana! Her mind thought helplessly.
It brought up the image of seeing Abri for the first time in a policeman's arms.
Her mind then brought up the present. Just last week to be honest. It was just the day when her and Seokjin told each other "I love you" for the first time. Candy remembered thinking helplessly that she didn't tell Seokjin that she loves him before charging in.
Candy was brought back to reality when she felt a harsh push and the cold, training room floor. A sharp scream filled the air.
Namjoon stared helplessly as he saw them corner the demon into the room. His breath hitches as he saw what was happening. It happened too fast for him to comprehend what happened. One second Candy was standing, Diana a few feet away. The next second Candy was on the floor, with Diana screaming. His eyes widened when he saw blood seeping out from where the arrow was. His heart dropped as he took in the blood surrounding Diana's abdomen rather quickly.
He only remembers Diana's screams and the burning pain on his abdomen before he fainted.
