Kim Taehyung is considered by others as a 4D character. He tries hard to please others and he tries hard to improve. Learning new spells doesn't stop him as well.

"Taehyung, you're hands have to move like this," Angel said softly, positioning his hands delicately into a strange shape. Taehyung nodded and tried again, looking over at Angel for confirmation. She nodded and moved on to Namjoon, who seemed to be having trouble with the hand signals as well.

"Hyung," Taehyung looked to his left and saw Jeongguk who held a weak shield, a bright smile on his face. So far, Jeongguk was the first to create a shield, with Yoongi following soon.

"Woah! Jungkookie, that looks amazing!" It was a pretty, celestial blue color with swirls of a darker blue entwining with wisps of silver.

"It looks amazing but," Diana interrupted, walking to the shield and knocking on it slightly, causing it to shatter. "It needs to be stronger." Jeongguk pouted at her and proceeded to create the shield again. Taehyung narrowed his eyes at his hands and tried it again. A large boom sounded to his right and Taehyung whipped his head quickly to see Hoseok be blasted back by an invisible force.

"Hoseok!" the boys cried out, forgetting their practice and rushing towards him. Yoongi was the first to reach him, followed by Candy who immediately pushed everyone back with her wings.

"He's fine, the explosion wasn't too big," Candy said, waving her hand in front of Hoseok's scrapes. Yoongi looked more pale as he glanced to the worried faces of Diana and Candy. His heart flipped and his heart weighed heavy in his chest.

"This," Diana started pushing herself off the floor, "is why you need practice. This spell will protect you from being hurt, but it needs to be done correctly or else you'll do a spell that causes it to blow up. Be careful." Everyone nodded and Hoseok got up shakely. Yoongi was quick to move to Hoseok's side to help stabilize him. Taehyung turned away from his elders and decided to try again, thinking over and over the spell Angel taught them. His eyes screwed shut as he tried again and again, but no shield came up. Not even a flicker of magic escaped him. Hoseok, Jin and Jimin also learned quickly, leaving Namjoon and Taehyung to struggle.

"Hey, Diana asked me to give you guys a more private lesson to see if that would help, but don't stop practicing, okay?" Angel said warmly, coming up to the boys after the class. They both nodded and Taehyung felt frustrated. He couldn't do it, and he hated the feeling when he couldn't do something.

"Do you have any idea why we can't?" Namjoon asked and Taehyung nodded, eager to know.

"Well, it could be a number of things, but the one thing I can think of is that something is holding you guys back. You either have a bad memory or you're a demon that can't connect with the spell Diana placed on you." The boys froze when Angel mentioned the demon and she just smiled. "We know you guys aren't demons, don't worry. But for now, just get some rest, I'll see you guys next week for the private lesson." They nodded and left, Taehyung feeling a slightly bit guilty.

Jeongguk decided to retry the spell. He wanted to see if he can make it stronger and harder to destroy. Jeongguk closed his eyes and breathed in slowly. His hands moved delicately to form the shield, the same celestial blue turning to block him. He smiled brightly and called for one of his hyung's to see how strong it was. Diana poked her head through the door looking confused.

"Jeongguk, what are you doing?" She asked, stepping in fully. Jeongguk noted her uniform and found it strange since she isn't supposed to be on duty.

"I want my shield to be stronger, and I think this is stronger!" Diana glanced at it and shook her head.

"It's important to rest, especially if you aren't used to using magic. Magic takes a lot out of you and can cause you to become hurt. Plus, magic can get more powerful once you rest and practice only the hand signals." Jeongguk nodded and let the shield fall down.

"Where are you going noona?"

"Me? It's all of us, I have to head to headquarters and deal with a situation. You guys have to come so can you find the other boys and tell them to get ready?" Jeongguk nodded and ran out, bumping into Taehyung first.

"Are all of you ready?" Diana asked, quickly making a portal. Her question was soon followed by a series of yes'. Diana smirked and motioned them to enter, soon following Jeongguk who was last to go in.

"I can never get used to that," Seokjin said, standing up dizzily. Namjoon placed a hand on the eldest shoulder and guided him to headquarters.

"I have to go do something, but Marisol should be arriving soon with GOT7 and you guys can go to our training centers if you'd like, ask anyone how to get there if you get lost." The boys nodded and Diana soon left, her wings expanding and her feathers rustling with the wind she created. The boys milled around before the door opened again, revealing GOT7. They entered in wordlessly and shifted uncomfortably.

"How are you guys dealing with the lessons?" Namjoon asked, his eyes shifting towards each member.

"It's okay, I guess," Jackson answered, he had large bags under his eyes and he looked tired. They all did, to be honest.

"These lessons are helpful but our comeback is planned to be very soon. Manager PD was thinking about postponing it until we are a little more safe since we can't risk going to foreign countries," Jaebum said with a sigh. They stayed silent and everyone was worried about their wellbeing as well as their families. Jeongguk can't remember the last time he's called his mother, in fear that a demon will get to her and her family. Diana mentioned that demons have ways to find the loved ones of Volatus' and of anyone under a spell, thus cutting off the contact between their families.

"D-do you guys want to go to the training room that Diana mentioned?" Bambam asked. They all nodded and walked out, heading left.

"Hey, do you even know where it is?" Seokjin asked. Everyone shrugged, but continued walking. After all, it's not like they can get lost.

"Are we lost?" Jimin asked, tired. No one said a thing but continued walking.

"Are you guys lost?" They all turned around and saw Abri. She smiled at them and bowed in greeting.

"Yes. These two idiots lost us," Mark said, gesturing towards Jackson and Youngjae.

"C'mon, I can take you guys to the practice room." They all nodded and followed Abri. Surprisingly, there was no one there. Everyone was out on missions and doing their rounds as well as practicing flight outside.

"You guys can stay here, I need to go out and practice my flying. Natu Diana says I shouldn't need a headstart to fly." Abri said before waving goodbye and trying to jump and fly, but failing. She sighed and just decided to run and catch the wind on her wings. The boys stayed looking at were she was and Taehyung's and Jeongguk's eyes lit up when they saw the bamboo sticks used for training. They glanced at each other and smiled.

"Yah! You guys better not hurt each other!" Seokjin yelled at them, watching as they grabbed the sticks. They picked them up and as soon as they did, a siren sounded. Red flashed and a slur of different languages came out of the speakers. Everyone was quick to huddle close together and they looked around confused. A Volatus, Esmeralda to be exact, came running in towards the set of knives on the far back wall. She froze when she saw the boys in there.

"What are you guys doing here?!" She demanded, quickly conjuring a shield around them. Hers was different, a soft red with swirls of silver and black magic made her shield.

"What's going on?!" Namjoon demanded, his heart racing.

"Stay quiet and be careful, understand?!"

"What's going on?!" Taehyung asked, already he could feel his panic rising.

"Headquarters is under attack!"
