||THIRTY FOUR||

Diana's eyes narrowed as Apollo seemed to smile even wider. Slowly, Apollo stepped forward and he stopped once they were three feet apart. Diana pulled her shoulders back and set a steely gaze on him.

"My, my, little sister. You have grown, haven't you?" Apollo leered and his eyes glanced to Namjoon before flickering back to his sister. "And you've found your soulmate too?"  Diana said nothing and glared at him, but Apollo's eyes landed on Namjoon's confused face. "Does he not know yet?" he gasped dramatically, "What a shame. My little sister found her soulmate but she can't even use him! What. A. Shame," he said, pausing after each word.

"Beat it you ass, this world is under the protection of Natu Diana and her second-in-command, Candy," Kylie growled out, her hands itching to just grab her sword and to swipe his teasing head right off.

"Not to mention, the rest of the Volatus society," Esmeralda added, her bow was already in hand and Apollo merely glanced at the others. His eyes never left Diana.

"I'm sure, dear sister, you know the story of our names?" he prodded and no one moved. "Two Volatus'; one who was raised by humans, and the other was raised by wolves. The one raised by humans was praised and loved by all of the humans, even being deemed the God of the Sun for his bright personality and his willingness to do what was right. The one raised by wolves was deemed a Goddess of the Moon for she was wise and cold. The humans misunderstood her and she was feared by them. She was wild and ferocious, unable to be with humanity.

"Until one day, the God of the Sun decided to venture into the forest and he came upon the Goddess of the Moon. He told her, 'Dear goddess, I need someone with your skill set to help me.' The goddess only looked at him and she agreed. No one knows why she agreed. Some say because she wanted to be accepted. I say it's because she's greedy.

"Nevertheless, they joined forces and the God of the Sun became the Natu because of his demeanor, and the God decided to make the Goddess his second in command. One day, the God died in battle, and the Goddess became Natu. She then died alone, and sad. Because without her sun, she was nothing but a black moon. That's what you are. The moon without her sun."

"That's where you are wrong, oh brother of mine," Diana barked out. She glanced at her friends, at GOT7 and at BTS. "I'm not the moon. I have never been the moon. If you remember from our childhood, Seongwoo called me an interesting name," Diana retorted with a small smirk. "I was called sundrop, and you were called moonshine. I'm not the moon without the sun, you are." As soon as those words left Diana's lips, he struck.

"Miya!" Ariana called out, her chained scythes quickly cut the demon coming up on her. Ariana panted and her eyes darted around, looking for anyone else. Her hazel eyes landed on Marisol and Kylie fighting back to back.

"C'mon," Miya called out, rushing towards Kylie and Marisol. "We have to help!" Ariana nodded and followed her.

Quickly, Miya brought out her sword and she moved next to Kylie while Ariana moved next to Marisol.

"What the fuck are you two doing here?! Move and go help someone else, we got this!" Kylie yelled out, blasting a monster that moved too close to Miya. Ariana grunted in response and quickly slashed at a demon that swiped at her. Miya shook her head no and seemed to step closer to Kylie.

"No, we can help!"

"Then help someone else! Marisol and I got this!" Kylie exclaimed, pushing Miya. With a huff, Miya nodded and she caught sight of a pink winged Volatus. Her brown curls bounced and she would've seemed graceful and goddess-like, if her face wasn't turned into a cold glare.

"Fine," Miya huffed out and she moved to help the one with pink wings.

Diana heaved slightly and her cheek burned from the small cut that Apollo gave her. Candy landed besides her and placed a warning hand up towards Apollo.

"Listen here you little bitch," Candy growled. "Earth is under our protection and you need to fucking leave." Apollo chuckled darkly at her response. His eyes twinkled dangerously and he stepped towards Diana.

"How about no? Hm? I have no time to play your so-called heroic acts."

"Then kill us." Diana mumbled. Apollo's ear perked in interest. "Kill us if you want to rule the Overworld. But just know that we know your tricks, you traitor."

Apollo smiled and it caused Candy to get shivers down her spine. "Oh my dear sister. I don't even have to try."

With a large yell, Diana swiped right and her katanas got caught on Apollo's sword. She growled at him and he only cocked his head with a cocky smirk.

"I thought you knew how to fight?"

"I do know. Watch," Diana responded just as cockily and she pulled one sword away to attack while the other stayed to guard. She brought a katana towards Apollo's chest but when she looked up, she was looking at Namjoon. She gasped and stepped back while her face turned pale.

"What the fuck?!" Candy cried out, her hands stilling as she glanced from Diana to Namjoon.

"Namjoon?! What—" Diana sputtered.

"The guy took me! He forced me to speak and I have no idea what was going on. It felt like I was a puppet!" Namjoon exclaimed his hands raising up in defense.

"If you're here, then who's with Jackson?!" Candy yelled out, whipping around everywhere. Diana steadied Namjoon and she looked around. She had a hunch of what was going on and what Ariana meant by 'dark magic'.
