Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait but I was on vacation for most of last week and the week before was finals sooo yeah. Here's an update for V Day! This is going to be split into three parts just like in "The Guy at the Café" so this is only part one. Enjoy!
February 14th
I'm regretting this.
After a few hours spent preparing the shop for Valentines Day, Peggy and Laf sent me back to my apartment to "tidy up for your hot date."
Now, looking at myself in the mirror, I was having second thoughts about this plan.
...Which is probably why as soon as I was about to back out of this, Laf burst into the room.
Like, he actually recreated the meme of bursting into rooms.
"Alex! Holy F— hey what are you doing?"
I looked down at my clothes, freshly ironed and everything.
It was now ruined due to my stress sweating. And my hair was a birds nest after the amount of time I ran my fingers through it.
I smiled sheepishly as I looked back at Lafayette.
"Oops?"
Laf rolls his eyes. "Je ne peux pas te faire confiance tout seul une seconde..." he mumbled shaking his head.
"All you had to do was wait patiently."
I shrugged helplessly, "You know I'm horrible at being patient."
I took a deep breath and settled my gaze on my annoyed friend. "I'm past patiently waiting, either I see him now or I'm calling this whole thing off!" I said stubbornly.
Laf smiled, "Lucky for you, I'm about to go get him. Now, you need to get to the café to surprise him."
I paled, "Wait Laf, we don't really need to do this. We should just give him time right?"
Laf glared at me, "Nope, you are not backing out now. It's too late! This Lams ship is going to sail!!"
I frowned, "Wait wh— Laf! Let me go!"
Laf grabbed my arm and was pushing me into the bathroom and then threw some clothes at me.
"Put these on and get dressed! Peggy can fix your hair at the café."
And with that, he shut the door and I hurriedly got dressed for one of the biggest days of my life... again.
(Translations: Je ne peux pas te faire confiance tout seul une seconde. = I can't trust you alone for a second.)
So that's part one of the Valentine's special. The next part should be finished soon. We're almost at the end of the story! Only two or three more updates to go!
