Marinette Dupain-Cheng walked beside her best friend Alya Césaire toward their school. "Ughh... great. Another day filled with dread. Am I right girl?" Alya groaned.
"C'mon Alya," Marinette nudged her bestie with a giggle, "It isn't that bad. Least you've got me. So it isn't completely boring."
"Yeah," Alya shrugged, "Guess you're right. Hey!" She immediately turned to a now surprised Marinette, "Have you heard? There's going to be a new student today."
"Really?" Marinette questioned with a brow raised. How did I not know about this..? She thought to herself.
Alya nodded quickly, "Yes really! Miss Bustier discussed about it in class. You must've zoned out girl."
"Yeah... must have.." Marinette muttered.
Alya smirked with a nudge, "Look who's filled with the dread now."
The friends laughed as they walked inside the building, to seeing all the rest of their classmates huddled together.

Alya shook her head, "I have no idea. Lets go check it out." Marinette followed her across the way toward their classmates.
The girls tried to look through everyone to see what the commotion was about. With no progress, Alya grabbed the back of Nino Lahiffe's headphones and pulled him back with a brow raised.
