Just so you guys know, I'm EXTREMELY proud of how this chapter came out! I tried to be as descriptive as possible. Hope you enjoy!😉❤️ <>•<>•<>•<>•<>•<> •Marinette's Bedroom: 9:05 PM•
Usually on the upcoming weekends, Marinette and Alya would have a sleepover. Whether it was at Alya's, or Alya coming over.
Today had been a busy day for Marinette. Not only did she have the car chase that morning, but she had helped her parents with the bakery once she got home. It had been packed!
But surprisingly, Marinette didn't feel that tired at all like she was suppose to. In fact she still felt a little energized. Maybe it was from her mother's homemade strawberry cheesecake? She didn't know.
But whatever it was, left Marinette unable to sleep.
"Having a hard time sleeping?" Tikki flew over to her.
Marinette sighed, "Yeah... but I'm bored at the same time." She then sat up, her dark hair flowing down a little below her shoulders. She decided to take them out of their regular pigtails.
Alya had told Marinette before that she looked cute with her hair being down. That it was nice to style it differently every once in a while. So, she decided to give it a try for the night.
Plus... she ignored the not so needed comment from Alya that Adrien would instantly fall head over heels for Mari and drool once he spotted the bluebell's new hairstyle.
"Yeah right, as if that would ever happen. I'd like to see you straighten your hair just to see the look on Nino's face." She had whispered to her that day.
"Bet," Alya challenged, "Watch me walk through those doors the next day and I'll have the entire school drop dead. All the girls will be jelly~ Especially Chloe." she smirked that caused Marinette to laugh that started a small eruption of laughter from the two .
What sucked was that Ms. Mendeleiev called them out during the middle of class thanks to their giggling fits. Apparently it was troublesome to interrupt one of her boring lectures.
She then remembered the genuine look of sympathy appearing on Adrien's face whenever he turned around to looo at her. Marinette had blushed out of embarrassment to realizing that he wasn't the only one paying attention to her and Alya. Talk about awkward.
"Well~.." Tikki smiled, bringing Marinette out of her thoughts. "You're not completely alone, Marinette. You've got me to keep you company."
Marinette giggled quietly, "I sure do, Tikki." She gently rubbed her finger on top of the kwami's head in a way of petting her.
She decided a little fresh air would be nice, so she opened the trap door leading to her balcony and climbed out onto the roof.
Marinette walked to the railing and crossed her arms on top of it. She took in the breathtaking view of the city she's lived in all of her life. Then she extended out one hand with a saddened expression on her face.
