Chapter Four: Partners

•Banque Victoire's Bank Vault: 7:30 PM•

Ladybug continued to run down the hallway as she looked around. She went around a corner and once she spotted a couple gunmen guarding either side of the doorway from farther down the hall in another room, she immediately stepped back around the wall to keep out of their view.

Shoot... it looks like I've got to get these guys taken care of before I can continue.. Ladybug thought as she began to crawl up the wall and soon the ceiling. She was going to attempt the stealth approach in order to not cause too much attention.

As she crawled closer, Ladybug heard one of the men mutter, "How much do ya think Volpina's gonna pay us?"

"Ehh I dunno..." The other one shrugged, "Maybe a couple hundred? Hopefully a thousand if we're lucky."

Not on my watch... Once completely above the two, Ladybug swiftly jumped down from the ceiling and dove onto one of the men and landed on his shoulders.

The second man watched with alarm in his eyes and quickly raised his gun and shot a bullet directly into Ladybug's shoulder.

She immediately winced with a groan as the bullet dug into her skin. She ignored the pain the best she could and used her overpowering strength thanks to her miraculous in order to shove one man into the other using her feet to push off of the man's back, causing the both of them to fall unconsciously to the ground.

Ladybug landed on one knee and as she stood, her hand instinctively was placed onto her shoulder with another wince. Dang it... she thought while looking down at her small gunshot wound.

"Are you ok Ladybug?" A police officer asked with his hands tied behind his back.

Ladybug rushed over to him and began to untie the rope, "Yessir, I am."

"Good. But thank you.. you just saved my neck. Those guys didn't look that friendly."

Ladybug threw the rope to the ground as she straightened, "Anytime sir. But I need to find the director. Could you help me get to the vaults?"

"I dunno," he sighed while rubbing his wrists, "Maybe you can take the air ducks from his office but you'll need clearance from the control room's computer. Enter *le random code because imma too lazy to come up with one* in the console to open all the doors.

"Thank you sir!" Ladybug nodded before running through yet another set of doors that led into the control room next door.

Once Ladybug typed in the code, she spotted police officers filling in through the front entrance from the see through glass.

One sudden thought came to mind though.

Where's Chat?

Ladybug ran through the hall she just came through and once she made it back to the main area, she climbed up the railing to the second floor and walked into the bank director's office which has magically opened thanks to the control room I may add.

Ladybug looked around for an air duct, once she found it, she climbed up the wall and ripped off the opening and began to crawl through.

"So... who's your bet? Who'd win in a fight? Ladybug or Volpina?" Ladybug could hear a couple of Volpina's thugs coming from below her.
