Marinette had her friend's wrist grasped tightly, walking through town without a single idea of what she was going to do.

"Marinette, hold up." Alya took back her wrist as the bluebell turned around with a hardened expression.

Alya bit a small part of her lower lip. Marinette looked terrible. Not literally, but she could tell that her friend was having a hard time taking in what they both saw not too long ago.

"I know you're upset," she said softly. "But I also know that you're not thinking straight."

"You..." Marinette exhaled while looking away, fists clenched until her knuckles turned white.

Alya watched her friend with mild concern. She understood the pain Marinette was feeling. If she ever saw Nino talking to other girls she wouldn't be very happy either. In fact, compared to her... Marinette was taking this more lightly from what she would've done.

And lets just say... Alya's way of dealing with things involved a lot of broken bones and screaming.

But this situation also could've been a misunderstanding. Adrien walking to a girl meant a lot of things.

Maybe she was another friend of his. Maybe he had the same class as her and asked about a homework assignment. Heck, that girl could've been his sister. Well... scratch that last part. Alya knew that certainly wasn't the case. She needed to talk sense into her friend.

Alya wrapped a comforting arm around her, "Listen girl.. I know it hurts right here," she gently placed a finger on Marinette's chest, the spot where her heart would be. "But you need to be strong. Adrien's your close friend. Don't let that other girl get between that. I see boys coming up to you left and right. Plus, you're going out with one tonight as we speak. Basically what I'm trying to say is this."

She moved to where she was in front of Marinette and placed both hands on her shoulders, "If you let this get ahold of you, and let yourself get filled with so much pain and suffering... that won't solve things. You might even say a few hurtful words to Adrien. How would that make you feel?"

Marinette blinked a couple times, taking in what her friend was saying. Alya was right. This was a ridiculous thing to get hurt over.. she shouldn't be upset. She should be happy!

Yes, seeing Adrien with another girl did hurt. But like Alya said, it could've meant a lot of things.

"I would regret them of course," Marinette admitted with a smile. "Thank you so much, Alya. I needed that pep talk," with that, the girls both pulled each other in for a hug like they always did when one friend needed the other.

"Now," Alya pulled away with a wink, "Let's get you ready for that date."

"Ughh," Marinette groaned. "For the last time, it's not a date."

Alya kept an arm around the bluebell as they both walked farther down the street, "Whatever you say~"
