•The City Of Paris: 7:00 PM•

Chat Noir flew across the darkened skies of the city with the help of his staff. His blonde hair blew through the wind as he leaped and ran on the rooftops of buildings.

Tonight he decided to take patrol, making sure no night time criminals were causing any trouble.

And so far, things were pretty quit. Maybe because his lady wasn't around.

He paused the patrol for a minute to try to get ahold of her. He used his staff and opened it to where he could use it like a phone and held it up to his ear. He sighed to no answer and was sent to voicemail.

Maybe she was busy? Asleep? Patrolling the opposite side of Paris?

But what if she was in trouble...??

The thought definitely crossed Chat's mind and he narrowed his green cat eyes. Before he took off, he heard a familiar laugh roar out from below him.

Looking down, he saw Marinette with that Luka guy. There it was again, that strange heart clenched feeling. What was the cause that made him feel this way?! Why did he feel this way?!

It took a lot for him to walk away, but he found himself leaping to a rooftop across from where he stood, trying to listen in on their conversation.

"....and that's how I became a fan of Jagged Stone."

Chat's ears flicked. This jerkwad was a fan of Jagged? Well, Chat was certainly more of a fan himself. Just because Luka wore a shirt of the rockstar, didn't mean anything.

Marinette laughed, "That's awesome!" She paused a moment before she spoke again. "Did you know I made the cover for his recent album?"

"Seriously??!" Chat rolled his eyes from Luka's enthusiasm. It was hard to tell what was going on due to the lack of lampposts in the area. "You're amazing Marinette! No wonder Jagged picked you to make his cover art!"

"You're amazing Marinette." Chat whispered in an annoyingly high pitched voice as a little kid would to his mother if he didn't get the toy he wanted.

It may have been dark, but Chat's green eyes glowed with pure anger as he saw that Luka was hugging Marinette.

"I'm so glad that my little Nette is so talented!!" One certain word hit Chat directly in the heart. And no, it wasn't the good kind.

It was the bad kind... the kind where he wanted to claw this guy into million pieces.

His teeth clenched from hearing the word my. Why was it making Chat so angry you may wonder? Well if it wasn't anymore obvious, it basically caused him to assume that Luka and Marinette were boyfriend and girlfriend.

In that moment, Chat was already on the ground with a hiss to the new couple.

They were surprised and backed up a little, Luka in front of Marinette. The feeling inside of Chat's chest grew as he watched the boy holding an arm out in front of the bluebell in a protective manner.

"Chat... Noir...??" Marinette asked curiously, but it was obvious that she was a little frightened of his approach.

Chat crossed his arms, wanting to get to the bottom of this. What have they been doing all this time? Was this what Luka and Marinette talked about earlier during school when he saw them talking to each other? Were they actually.... together?

"Seems a bit late for you both to be out tonight," Chat pointed out sharply.

Luka kept his eyes on the feline heroine as Marinette stared at him from behind. What was Chat's problem? Why did he seem... cold?

"We're just spending some time together. I was planning on taking her home within an hour or so." Luka responded honestly.

But there was something about Chat's posture that told Marinette that he didn't like the idea.

Seriously... what was the stupid cat's problem?

"I'd feel a lot more comfortable if you took the lady back home safely," Chat said slowly, as if he was choosing his words carefully.

That caused Luka to raise a brow in silence, his body tensing up only a little.

"Or I could take her," Chat added, green cat eyes locked onto Marinette's blue ones. The way he looked at her gave off a wave of comfort. His stare was gentle.

Suddenly Luka's arm wrapped around Marinette's shoulders tightly. Yes, tightly. "I've got it. Besides, she's my girlfriend after all. Gotta take care of her."

Hearing the word girlfriend slip from Luka's lips made Marinette's eyes shoot openly wide and it caused her to tense. Chat had mirrored her expression.

"Girl... Friend..?"

Luka nodded once in confirmation.

Marinette had not remembered the fellow blue haired boy asking her to be his. They only kissed, which could've meant anything.

Chat clenched his fists and took a couple steps toward the new 'couple' with an unexpected hiss coming from deep within his chest. Marinette was ultimately surprised. Why are you acting like this Chat?! Where's the goofy flirtatious version of you that I do know??

Luka didn't flinch from the sudden act. In fact, he wasn't affected by his approach at all.

But.. the only thing he did as a reaction chilled Marinette to the bone.

Luka smirked, not as your regular flirtatious or playful smirk. It looked... evil.

Then... he said this while staring directly into Chat Noir's face, with no signal of fear in his voice. "Sit down, kitten."

Chat couldn't believe what came out of the idiotic boy's mouth

Chat couldn't believe what came out of the idiotic boy's mouth. He called him a kitten!!

Marinette felt her heart drop to the pit of her stomach. "Hey!" She got between the two before either of them acted out.

Because come on... boys love to prove their point using their fists instead of words.

"You both need to calm down," Marinette turned to Chat with a frown. "I'm sorry Chat, but you need to leave. I understand as a hero that your concerned, but I'll be fine. I've got Luka with me."

Sure Chat was being a bit over the top weird, but Luka shouldn't have overstepped his boundaries to call him that. She was certainly going to talk to Luka whenever she had the chance...

Brows still furrowed in a look of boiling anger, Chat finally decided to step down. He took one step back, turned around, and sprang off with his staff. But not without taking one last glance at Marinette.

He couldn't believe that she was protecting him...

And she couldn't believe how much her feline companion disliked Luka...

If the oneshot book goes well, then maybe I'll start posting oneshots for the other ships. It all depends on you guys.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!❤️
