After washing and drying her hands, Marinette walked out of the bathroom and began heading back to the others. But as she exited out the door, Adrien was leaning against the wall from the opposite side of the wall.
She jumped slightly in surprised, "A-Adrien??" Once Marinette realized who it was, she sighed in relief with a hand over her chest, "Oh thank goodness it's only you... sorry about that," she giggled, "You scared me."
By the look of Adrien's face, Marinette could tell that his normally brightening face wasn't gentle at all. He didn't look happy as he leaned off the wall.
"What're your thoughts about Luka?" He asked while walking over to her.
Marinette was caught off guard as she stared up at Adrien. Why was he so interested with her and Luka all of a sudden? He was only another guy that she wanted to get to know more about since he was Juleka's brother.
"Well..." she started, "He seemed really nice and-"
"And that's where your wrong Marinette," Adrien cut her off with a brow raised, "I got bad vibes from him. So could you do me a favor just stay away from him for now until I give you the ok?"
Marinette was utterly surprised. This wasn't like Adrien at all. She understood it has been years ever since she's seen him. But now they were teenagers, and you'd think Adrien would have been more mature about this, "What do you mean by that, Adrien? He honestly seems like a really nice guy. He writes his own music, plays the guitar, and he's a Jagged Stone fan! How cool is that??"
"I'm still not that impressed..." Adrien muttered while looking away.
Marinette stared at her blonde best friend. She was utterly confused to why he was so questionable about her and Luka's new friendship. The fellow blue haired boy was nothing more than a friend. Adrien was the one who took her heart. So why would he make such a big fuss about this?
Even though he has no idea that I think of him that way...
"Are you ok, Adrien?" She asked.
Adrien glanced at her from the corner of his eye, still having his arms crossed in a pouting kind of way. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"
The bluebell frowned. She slowly placed a hand on his arm, "Why do you care so much about me talking to Luka?" Then it suddenly hit her, "Wait... are you jealous??"
"What?!" Adrien gawked as he quickly turned to her, "Why is everyone assuming that I'm jealous?!" He shook his head, "No! I'm not! For the final time!"
Marinette's eyes were wide with a giggle, "Then don't give me a reason to ask, silly." She gently nudged him, "Now come on, let's go before Alya runs around the corner assuming something."
Adrien chuckled nervously with a nod, "Oh yeah..." he and Marinette both began walking down the hall, "That's definitely the last thing we need to happen."
