"i'm lil skies' manager." she said calmly, making kota's whole body tingle. "he's going on tour in a few weeks. and we still haven't got a photographer for the tour. our team have been thinking, and your photoshoot with skies and landon was from far the best we've seen. we'd like you to be the photographer." she seemed to be waiting for an answer, but kota didn't know what to say. she thought it could at least help her to be known for her job.

"i-i... i'm not sure yet. do i have to give you the answer... now?"

"oh, no!, take your time. we have talked to other photographers and in case you don't want the job, one of them are gonna take it. but you, is our favorite." she winked at dakota. "i know that you and skies didn't have a good ending for your relationship. he doesn't tell much about it. but he did say that you two talked and are okay now... so i thought that it wouldn't be a problem. and keep in mind that you're not going on tour with skies for fun. it'll be a professional relationship, it's a job." chelsey smiled and leaned back on her chair.

"yes... i, uh, don't think it's a problem. it's just a big decision, i need to think a bit." kota said trying to make eye contact to show that she wasn't bothered by it, but she knew she was.

"well, you have my number. think about it, and text or call me when you have made a decision. but think carefully, ms. black, think about how much recognition you'll get, skies now is more famous than ever, and you won't be stuck around here doing your jobs, you'll travel around the country doing what you love. you'll get more recognition, and every worker needs it."

after they had that talk, she explained to kota a little more about how it would work, then leaving the rest for when she comes to a conclusion. kota drove home worried about diego's reaction, at the end of the day she would be working with her ex and being around him almost all the time.

dakota parked her car beside diego's. she stepped out of her car and walked to the front door, unlocking it, being now able to see diego playing games on his ps4.

"hey baby." he said without turning to see her, he was way too concentrated on his game.

kota left her bag on the end table and threw herself on top diego. "baby, i'm in the middle of a match." he tried speaking but kota didn't let him, holding his cheeks and kissing his lips.

diego kissed her back, but soon pulled away, "you made me lose." he faked a sad face while looking at the tv.

"aw, i'm gonna sleep then." she copied him, faking a sad face too. diego sat up too and kissed her again.

"no way." he pulled away and sighed. "so, what was the meeting about?" as he asked, really excited about it. kota wondered whether to tell him today or not.

"uh, you're definitely not gonna like it." she giggled, in a nervous way. diego, noticing her nervousness, held her arms and caressed it.

"why?!"

"so... it's a job, as a tour photographer." she let it out. at least, half of it. diego's expression was a bit confusing. he seemed partly happy, and partly sad.

"whoah..." he replied looking down. "are you gonna take it?"

"i don't know. we have to talk it through, right?"

"yeah. how long will you... uh, stay on tour?" he asked hoping for the best.

"baby... there's... something else..." dakota said looking over her shoulder. she was afraid to say it. she was afraid that he would start freaking out. she didn't want him freaking out. "it's skies' tour. i've been asked to work as a tour photographer on tour with skies." diego's mouth dropped and his eyes were now wide open. "i know, i had the exact same reaction. seems like they liked my photoshoot with skies and landon way too much, and now want me to go on tour with them."

"can we talk about it later? tomorrow, maybe? i really don't wanna discuss with you right now." he said holding dakota's hands. she knew he didn't like this idea too. but she liked it way too much, she would actually love being on tour with skies, and that's something she's trying to hide from her own self.

skies and kota became real friends for a while. they hung out some times after skies apologized and said he would try not to fight with diego anymore. diego always got bothered by it, but he trusted her enough to let her do it anyways. but he fears that deep down skies is who kota really wants. and kota fears the same.
