2| Stealing Tony's Stuff

" FRIDAY, where's (Y/N)? "

" Ms. (L/N) is currently in Wakanda."

You originally didn't plan on leaving the compound, but after playing around with your upgraded technological weapons, you decided that one more person needed to be thanked - Shuri. So, when you told yourself you had somewhere to be, that place was Wakanda. Using the teleportation ability that was engineered into the jewelry, you traveled to Wakanda.

T'Challa was confused at first when he saw you pop into the palace, but he didn't doubt for a second that you came to see Shuri. He lead you down to her lab and left soon after, saying something about being late to a meeting. How can a king be late? Wouldn't that make everyone else early. Yes, a movie reference was the first thing you thought of.

Shuri and you had become friends real quickly. After the Battle of Wakanda, as it was referred to, Shuri and you bonded, starting a strong, lifelong friendship. You two didn't see each other often due to your busy lives, Shuri being the genius Princess of Wakanda and you being an Avenger, but whenever there was a free moment, both of you would video chat to catch up. It just felt more real talk face to face even if you were miles apart.

"Shuri, your favorite non-genius is here!" You yelled as you walked down towards her. She was currently working on something, but as soon as she heard your yelling, Shuri came rushing up to you and engulfed you in a tight hug.

"It's so good to see you! But what are you doing here?" Shuri asked as you two walked back to where she was beforehand.

"Can't I just come to see my friend? Do I really need a reason?" She gave you a pointed look at your remark. "Ok, fine. I came here to say thank you. So, thanks for helping make these whatchamacallits. Honestly though, what are they even called. They never had an official name before considering I stole them from Shield." Shuri started to laugh so you stopped. "What? What's so funny? By the way, I like the jewelry idea."

Once Shuri stopped laughing and caught her breath, she responded. "You just ramble too much sometimes. And of course you liked that idea, it was mine." You rolled your eyes and a small smile tugged at your lips. "I agree though, they need an official name."

With that, the two of you started making a list of names to call the gadgets because that's obviously what normal teenage girls do when they hang out. You had a list of about twenty names. Some were just gag names while others were some legitimate options. "What about just calling them electromotives?" Shuri suggested.

"What's that even supposed to mean?"

"Electromotive means producing a flow of electricity. That's essentially what they do. They produce electricity to make those weird energy forces and to allow you to teleport and turn invisible. I just put the s at the end because the word is an adjective, so it makes it sound like an actual thing." You agreed and they were officially called electromotives.

A few minutes later, your phone began to ring. Looking at the caller ID, you saw that it was Tony so you picked up. "Why are you in Wakanda? Get back to the compound now! I'm having Peter over to officially introduce him to everyone!" Tony screamed. You had to bring your phone away from your ear because of how loud he was.

"Because, unlike you, I'm acknowledging the fact that Shuri helped making the electromotives, which we named, and came to say thank you." You gave Shuri a hug, knowing that you'd have to leave. "Why do I even need to be there. I've already met your prodigy, Spider-man."
