Chapter 9: Father

Youko arrived at the Lair panicky gasping some air.

"Botan, let's go, we must get out of here now." Youko carried her bridal style for both of them easily get out of the cave.

"W-wait Youko?? What's happening?? Why we have to leave??" Botan worriedly asked.

"My father and his underling are coming after me. I must secure you to a safe place before I faced them." Youko explained.

"You will be fine right Youko??" Botan asked him.

"Of course, Botan." Youko respond.

Youko jumping upon the trees make it faster as possible to avoid an upcoming threat. Youko avoid a blue fire coming after them.

"Tsk! He's here." Youko gritted his teeth. He lowers Botan into the ground.

"Youko??" Botan worriedly said.

Pair of beautiful golden orbs revealed in distance. A man with a silver locks just like Youko wearing a glamorous clothes starring them with it's deadly intent.

Youko trying to concentrate to locate the upcoming move of it's predator. In swift motion he found himself lying in the ground with chain in his arms legs and body he couldn't move even an inch.

"Youko!!!" Botan run fast to Youko but receive a glare from him.

"Don't come here Botan!" His voice was strong and commanding. "Run!! Run away from here."

Botan gulped but remain calm, she knew that they are in dangerous situation but she decided to stay and will never abandoned him.

"No!! I will stay with you!" Botan strongly persist.

"Please! Listen to me now!." His eyes were firm but Botan can see his pleading.

"Y-youko." Botan started to move toward the certain chained Yokai.

It's too late, because she found herself in the bond of strong fearsome Fox Yokai, Youko's father, Okami.

"Hello their my beloved Son??" Deceptive smile escape to it's lips.

"Leave her alone father, she's out of this matter!!" Youko hinder himself from the chain.

"It's not a proper way to greet you very own father, Youko". A creepy smile escapes with his words. Youko respond him with a deadly glare. Okami's attention turns to blue haired priestess. "So I think she's the reason for delaying your mission, Youko?? It almost a year and seems your enjoying slacking with this human??" Okami's eyes were full of evil, she look at Botan.

"Let me go!" Botan give him firm and strong glare.

"HaHahaha! So this one makes you wag your tail Youko?? ,with brave human?? Hahaha. You are started to becoming just like your pathetic mother, you really wanted to end up like her, so soft" Okami laugh psychotically.

"You're insane father!!" Wrath visible in his eyes, with malice.

Botan resist herself from the hands of emperor and manage to escape from him. She run into Youko's place and put herself between Youko and his father.

"What are you doing Botan??! Hurry! Get out of here, save yourself." Youko command her.

"No! I will stay her, I will protect you." Botan respond strongly.

"You're no match against him!! He's powerful run and save your life!" Botan firmly stands in front of him. "For the sake of those things you wanted to protect!" Youko added.

"That's what I trying to do here, Youko!" She screams her words.

"Hmmm, you seems attaching yourself from this human, Son. Just like me when the time I meet you mother in Ningenkai, I almost seeing myself from you." Okami stated.
