☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️

I open my eyes only to be met with more darkness it's like it's never-ending. I reach out my hands to try and find something in the dark air that is engulfing me, but to no avail. I was met only with the small particles that make up the thin air. Worry and stress start to set in very, very quickly. I feel my chest begin to squeeze and the air in my lungs become harder and harder to circulate. I take small strained breathes as I squeeze my eyes shut so the darkness is made under my own accord and not by shadow of the world around me. Question after question begins to run through my mind as I try to steady my breathing.

Why is it so dark? Where am I? What am I supposed to do? Just walk blindly? I finally stop the questions and slowly turn around, looking for something in the blackness. Hands extending, trying to find something with some kind of stability.

I find nothing substantial, but there was something that did catch my eye. There was a little sliver of light that looked like it was about three feet away from me. I bend down to try and look more closely at the small spot of light. I bring my finger down to the small orb and find a small lip of paper there. I bring myself closer and then give the lip of paper a slight tug. This makes the small blip of light a bit bigger than it was before. Now that I know if this paper is gone that I will get the brightness I longed for I begin rip up the paper hastily to reveal a room. There was nothing in the room it is completely blank but there was at least light.

I sigh and lean back against the wall behind me. That's the exact moment that I notice that I may be inside this room but I'm also inside a glass box sitting inside the room.

I begin to panic all over again. How I'm supposed to get out of this box is beyond me. Slowly the panic starts to take over completely. I bang on the glass repeatedly, screaming, and yelling, crying; hoping that someone will hear me, hoping someone will save me. No one comes though, so I slowly give way to the tiredness of banging on the glass and slide down the wall as tears fall from my eyes. I've accepted that there's no way out. There isn't even a small crack from me banging on the glass. There is no spot the even looks like it would open, only the small holes on the ceiling of the glass box that allow me to breath that are too high for me to reach. I can only sit here.

"It's no use." I mumble quietly.

But then I hear something, it's not loud but I definitely heard it. I lift my head up to see a girl. She stands in front of the box and smiles. She reaches out and touches it, lightly. Her finger had barely even hit the glass before the glass that surrounds me shatters down to the floor.

When I stand up from my crouched position from taking cover, the girl is gone.
