☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️

Sirens blare.

Lights flash.

I was taking a casual walk when everything around me seemed to go awry. A police car zoomed right past me, with an ambulance following closely behind. A firetruck flashed by just moments after the first two. I began to be filled with curiosity. What on earth is going on? Was it close to here?  Did I know the people that were involved in the accident that they were headed to?

Right as the last thought crossed my mind all the curiosity melted away. I started to have an uneasy feeling down in my gut in replacement to the curiosity that occupied my brain prior. That uneasy feeling prompted my feet to begin to move faster in the direction they sped towards. What if I DID know the people involved in the accident? What if it was Jin? Or Hoseok? The last person to flash through my mind made fear engulf my body. What if it was MiHi? Quickly, my fast walking pace became a run. I began to run after them my body pulsing with fear and worry.

I ran and ran until finally I reached the place where the vehicles parked. I stopped along with them and leaned down, hands on my knees, to catch my breath. Once I stabilized my breathing a little bit I began to inch closer to the scene playing out before me.

They parked in front of a small house that looked a little unkempt, the grass needed to be trimmed, and the paint on the house was faded. There were small flower planters that had no flowers in them only weeds that had taken over and flowed over the sides. If the house had been tended to, it could be a sweet little home. I wondered why the house had fallen into such a state with people living inside it. Wouldn't they want to try to keep the house tended and nice?

But I didn't know this house, so why is my stomach churning with worry so much? Why did I still feel the need to have all the information about the events that happened here at this house?

"Her arm is broken pretty badly, and she may have a concussion." I overheard a police officer talking to his partner.

"Poor girl that was a nasty fall." The other officer responded. "How does a person do that?"

"I don't know, but I guess we'll find out when we ask the family later. We need to make sure that the girl is okay first."

I was about to walk away when they start to wheel out a gurney from the front door with a person laid atop it, I stopped to see if I could get a glimpse of who it was that had gotten hurt. A woman chased after the gurney tears streaming down her face. I could faintly hear her saying, "It's going to be okay honey. Don't worry. You're going to be okay. It will all be just fine. I can ride with her right?" She grabbed the girls shoulder that lay on the gurney. As they brought the gurney closer to the ambulance, the girl's face came more into view...

MiHi.

I instantly knew why I felt all the uneasiness and now it only worsened.
