I'm running. I'm running as fast as my legs will take me. I stumble a bit by tripping over my own foot, but quickly right myself and continue to run.
From what I don't know, but I'm running as fast as I humanly can. Even though I want to see what I'm running from, I don't dare turn around to look. I'm not familiar with this place I need to keep my eyes ahead of me.
I can hear its footsteps behind me as I run down this never-ending hall. When will it stop? "Argh!" I yell in pain. "Now! It stops now!" I lift myself from the floor and finally take the chance to look back before I take the corner that I had missed earlier. Only now there's nothing there, just me and the bare empty walls around me. I scrunch my eyebrows in complete confusion. There has to be something there. I heard it chasing after me, it's footsteps were loud and hard. It had to have been something big there's no way it could have just disappeared into thin air and there aren't any doors or windows for it to have went into either.
"How?" I mumble as I continue down the hallway cautiously making sure to look behind me periodically.
In an instant, I can hear little mumbles all around me, but I can't see from who or what they are coming from, they weren't there before and then showing up now has me even more on edge. I didn't know that was even possible. I uneasily stop and look around at my surroundings hoping for a door or maybe a window. I make a full 360 in this abandoned hall, but when I reach the spot where I started, there's something new lying on the floor. It
A box.
It sits neatly in the middle of the hallway. A small is tied around it. I reach down and pull one of the strings of the bow to unknot it. When the ribbon slides down the sides of the box I slowly lift the lid and peer into it to find out what is inside. Inside the box lays a small key. "A key? For what? There's no door here." I sigh, picking up the key and looking it over.
I slowly look up from the key in confusion. When I look up again, everything has changed. I'm no longer in the hallway. I'm in a barren white room with a door, no windows, only a single simple black door. It's sleek and metal, I walk up to the door and slide my hand down the smooth metal. I grab the door knob and shake it. Locked. Just as I thought it would be so I slowly put the key in, and turn the lock. When I open the door, there stands a girl I've never seen before in the middle of a beautiful garden filled with bright blossoming flowers. I go to take a step toward the girl inside the garden.
That's when I wake up.
