I shoot up straight in bed sweat beading down my neck, I'm breathing heavily, and tears are streaming down my cheeks. I slowly bring my feet over to the ground, then walk to the bathroom. I stare at myself in the mirror. I rub my hands down my face. I keep repeating the same words over and over in my head and sometimes even aloud: "It was only a dream." I brush my teeth, I take a shower, I get dressed as I still repeat the words again and again.

I can't seem to convince myself no matter how many times I say it. I'm still worried about MiHi. I grab my phone and decide to send her a simple text.

Jungkook[8:45]:

 Hey, do you work today?

I tried to make it seem casual, not like I was worried that she was in the hospital at this very moment. I ask her this question quite often, so I thought it was a sufficient way to check up on her but not raise any suspicion. She answers fairly quickly usually unless she's already at work then it might take her a bit. I could go to the cafe to see if she's there...I decide to just patiently wait for her reply.

But it seems to never come.

I make the decision to go toward her house. I don't know exactly where she lives, but I know the vicinity. I will pass the cafe on my way there so I can check if she's there first.

When I walk up to the cafe door, I don't see her anywhere in the front. I walk up to the counter, and the girl standing there smiles, "What can I get for you today?"

"Oh, uh, nothing I was just wondering if Park MiHi was working today?"

"Um...MiHi... No, she isn't here today she isn't scheduled to work for the next couple days actually."

"Okay, thank you. Have a good day." With that, I turn and walk out the door to head toward MiHi's house.

When I am right before the corner, she usually takes when she leaves it's like my dream comes to life right before my eyes, an ambulance and a police car race past me with their lights flashing. Before my brain even has time to really process it, my legs are already running after them as fast as I can. I didn't even know where they were actually headed to, but my gut and my brain said that I needed to follow them. It may stem from my dream from last night, but I wasn't going to question it, so I kept running until they stopped.

They stopped in front of a quaint house that needed a bit of tending to, just like my dream...I walked up to the police officer by his car and asked as calmly as I can muster, "What's going on here?"

"Girl fell down the stairs." is all he answered with, I didn't even get a full sentence in response before he walked off over to another cop. I vaguely heard one cop tell the other, "There's evidence of domestic abuse, neighbors heard yelling."

I quietly stood on the sidewalk watching everything unfold before me, still wondering just who this girl was and if she was okay and if it really was a domestic abuse situation. I waited there for a few minutes before a medic came out and told the officer that the girl had a compound fracture in her ulna and she seemed to have a pretty bad concussion but that she would be okay. I sighed in relief that the girl would be okay even though I still had no clue who she was.

They finally start to roll out the gurney; a person is laying on it and a woman following behind repeating the same thing over and over. "It's okay sweetie. You're going to be okay." I took a couple steps forward to get a better look at the girl being brought to the hospital. When I finally saw the girl's face clearly, I felt my stomach drop...

MiHi.

I stare, not moving, as they push the gurney up into the back of the ambulance. I watch them slam the doors shut. And then I hear the engine start. Next, I see the ambulance start to pull out flash on its lights then speed off toward the hospital. That's when everything seems to fully process, and I can move again. I begin to go straight to the hospital as quick as I can muster.
