Jungkook's POV

"Jin Hyung can I talk to you?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen where Jin is cooking.

"Sure." He slightly glances back at me as I get a glass of water. "What about?"

"Uh..." I laugh a little. "A girl."

"A girl? My little Kookie is having girl problems." He turns around and wiggles his eyebrows at me. "From one of your classes?"

"No, actually." I shake my head.

"Okay, so where? You don't go anywhere besides school Kook." I laugh because he is not wrong; I am mostly at school, and he's really one of my only friends. I have a few others but we mostly just hang out here at the apartment. So, I don't get out much.

"Yeah, I know I don't, but I went to the coffee shop again."

"Okay and...you met a girl there?"

"I wouldn't really call it "met a girl," she's one of the baristas." I look down at the water in my glass in my hand, swirling the water around a bit. "And she looks exactly like the girl from my dreams."

"Ah yes, the mysterious girl of your dreams has just shown up in real life, right." Jin turns back around to the food.

"I'm serious. She looks just like her, I swear it."

"Okay, so what? The dream girl became real?" He raises his eyebrows at me.

"I don't know. All I know is she looks just like the girl."

"Okay. Let's forget about that detail. What is it about the barista girl?"

"Well, she's really cute and funny, I would like to get to know her better, but I'm not really sure how to approach that.." I trail off slowly.

"Well, for starters, do you even know her name?"

"MiHi, it's beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yeah. Well, since you at least have her name just ask for her number." Jin states matter-of-factly like it's no big deal.

"You say it like it's so easy."

"Because it is."

I sit quietly for a second. Easy? Maybe for him. That sounds really awkward and hard actually. How am I supposed to do it just walk up and be like 'hey, I'm back can I have your number?' That just seems too blunt. I feel like there should be a lead-up, asking for her number straight away seems...so...play-boyish. Yet I've never done this before so what do I know?

"How do I do it then? Just walk up to the counter and ask?"

"Precisely." He takes a taste of what he's making. He makes a quizzical face and grabs some kind of spice to add.

"Okay, it still seems a lot easier said than done."

"It is, but aren't most things?" He asks.

"Well, yes, but—"I trail off not having a good reason to voice. I sigh and stand up from my seat."Dinner is going to be finished soon." I nod and walk away to think for a while.

Do I just ask for her number? Will she find that weird? Will she think I'm too straight forward? Will she even give it to me if I ask? Does she already have a boyfriend? She probably does she's beautiful. What am I supposed to do? That's what runs through my head the rest of the night until I fall asleep very early in the morning.
