"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen," an attendant came over the PA. "We're beginning our decent, so please fasten your seat belts and put all electronic devices away, thank you!"
I woke Emily up - she had fallen asleep, and honestly, it was adorable - then had her put her seat belt on. The two of us had relaxed back in our seats while we waited to land. About ten minutes later, we were able to see the airport, and then we felt the plane land on the runway. Shortly after that, we were able to grab our things and get off the airplane. As soon as Emily and I made it into the airport itself, we practically dropped our carry-ons and stretched. We laughed at one another as we did so, then grabbed our bags again and made our way to luggage claim.
Once we got there, us, and a whole bunch of other people, were waiting there, waiting for the line to start moving. About five minutes later, suitcases and bags atarted showing up, and one by one, they were taken. I waited for mine and Em's bags, while she went and called Patrick to let them all know that we had landed safely. I soon got our suitcases and was struggling to lift Em's up, which actually made me laugh, but then a man was nice enough to help me.
"Thank you," I laughed.
"It's not a problem," he smiled. "I'm Ryan."
"Jack," I smiled, shaking his hand.
"What brings you to Hawaii, if I can ask?" he asked.
"Honeymoon," I smiled. "My wife and I just got married a little over two weeks ago."
"Aw, that's cute!" Ryan smiled.
"What brings you here?" I asked.
"Same, actually," he chuckled. "Actually, Tyler's right over there!" A guy, who I was assuming was Tyler, had run over to Ryan. He smiled at me and introduced himself.
"Jack," I smiled again.
"Jack here is on his honeymoon too," Ryan said. "His wife's name is...?"
"Oh, her name's Emily!" I smiled. "She's actually right over there." I saw Em hang up the phone, so I called her over. She smiled at me and ran over.
"You must be Emily!" Ryan said, shaking her hand.
"Yeah," Emily laughed. "and you are?"
"Oh, I'm sorry! I'm Ryan. This is my husband, Tyler," Ryan introduced Tyler.
"Nice to meet you two!" Emily smiled. "What brings you here?"
"Honeymoon," Ryan smiled.
"Same as us," Emily laughed.
"Yeah, I saw Jack here was having trouble with one of the suitcases, so I helped him out, and here we are now," Ryan chuckled.
"It was yours, for the record, babe," I smirked at Emily, who stuck her tongue out at me.
"What hotel are you guys staying at?" Tyler asked.
"The Honolulu Inn, I believe," Emily smiled.
"Same as us!" Ryan laughed.
The four of us talked for a while, then we decided we'd head over to the hotel altogether. We grabbed our suitcases and headed towards the escalators. We soon made it down to the main level and walked outside. The cool winds and the warm sun of Hawaii hit us and it felt so good. I just kind of wanted to stand out here and soak it all up! We managed to find a van, which was taking other people to the same hotel, and were allowed to hop on. A few more people showed up, along with a small family here for vacation. Their teenage daughter knew who both Em and I were, so we took a picture with her. She was so happy, which made us happy, and her parents too.
