"Are you sure you'll be ok, babe?" Jack asked me through the bathroom door.
"Yeah," I sighed, flushing the toilet. "You'll be back soon, so I'll be fine."
"Alright," Jack said, hugging me as I walked out of the bathroom. "I should be back in like a half hour."
"Sounds good to me," I said, hugging him back. "Maybe some food will help."
"I think it will," Jack smiled, leading me over to the bed. He had me lay down, then he gently covered me up.
"Thanks baby," I gave him a smile.
Jack grabbed his sweatshirt and his key card, then said bye. He walked out of the room after that to go find a food place, besides the ones that were in the hotel. As far as he knows, I'm just "sick" from the flight yesterday. I know it's not that though, but he doesn't have to know that yet. I sat up in the bed and grabbed my phone from the table. I dialed Jaimee's number, and after a few rings, she picked up.
"Hey," she answered.
"Hey," I smiled. "It's not like super late or early is it?"
"No," she laughed. "It's like one in the afternoon here."
"Oh, damn. It's eight am here," I chuckled.
"Is everything ok? You seem off," she noticed.
"I threw up again, so Jack's making me rest. He thinks I'm just sick from the flight yesterday," I said.
"Did you talk to him about you know what?" Jaimee asked, and since she didn't exactly say the real thing, I assumed she was with somebody.
"I did, last night. I brought it up while we were in the bath," I said.
"Oh, dude!" she said, making me laugh.
"I am an adult," I laughed. "I make my own decisions! And for your information, we did not do anything! We just relaxed, then ate supper after that, then went to bed."
"I'll take your word for it," she laughed. "Anyway, how'd he react?"
"Well, I asked if he wanted kids ever, and he said yeah, then smiled, then said I'd be a good mom," I explained. "Then he asked why I asked."
"What did you say?" she asked.
"I said I was just curious," I bit my lip, waiting for Jaimee to practically "yell" at me over the phone.
"Em! You had your chance right there! Why didn't you tell him?!" she asked, and I had assumed she had left whoever she was with.
"I wanted to! I wanted to so badly, but I couldn't! I don't know why I couldn't. I know he'd be fine with it," I sighed. "God, I'm an idiot."
"Tell him when he gets back. I'm assuming he's not there since you called me," Jaim said.
"No, he went to get some breakfast," I said. "I want to tell him, but I - I don't know."
"Just get it over with," she said. "Better now than later."
"Ugh, you're right," I sighed again. "I'll call you later tonight and tell you how it went."
"Alright," she said. "Be strong, girl!"
"Alright," I laughed. "Bye!"
"Bye!" she said.
"Oh, wait! Tell Pete and Patrick I love them!" I said.
"I will, daddy's girl," she said, and I knew she was smirking.
"Do I really have a choice? I can really only be a daddy's girl," I laughed.
"Good point. I'll tell them. Bye!" she said.
I laughed as I hung up the phone, then got situated in the bed again. I drifted off to sleep, but only to be woken up about twenty minutes later by Jack coming back into the room. I pretended I was still asleep, though. I felt him sit down on the bed next to me, then he stroked my hair.
"Oh, hey," I smiled at him.
"Hey," he smiled back, kissing my forehead. "Get a little more sleep?"
"Maybe like fifteen minutes," I chuckled.
"Are you feeling a little better?" he asked.
"A lot, actually," I smiled as I sat up. "Hey, can we talk about something?"
"After I show you something," Jack said, getting off the bed and holding his hand out for me to grab.
I smiled at him, then took his hand. He had my close my eyes as he led me out of the room and into what, I assumed, was the living room. He stood behind me and covered my eyes with his hands instead so he could control when I was able to see whatever it was he wanted.
"Ready?" Jack asked.
"Yes," I laughed.
"Ok, one, two three!" Jack counted, then pulled his hands off my face.
My mouth dropped down to the floor when I saw the living room full of all the things I loved. There were beautiful flowers in a vase on the coffee table, a box of chocolate on either side of that, and then a bag of McDonald's on the couch.
"You know me so well," I smiled at him as I hugged him.
"Well, I have gotten to know you a lot," he smirked.
"Smartass," I laughed. "Thank you so much, hun."
"You're welcome, beautiful," he hugged me tighter.
We sat on the couch and started eating our McDonald's. He had gotten me the Hawaiian breakfast, which was eggs, rice, spam, and Portuguese sausage. It was actually really good! I was a little surprised. He had gotten the same thing and he liked it too. After we finished that, we ate a little bit of the chocolate that was in a box.
"So, what'd you want to talk about?" he asked me as I curled up next to him.
"Oh, I don't remember now," I laughed.
"Well, if you think of it later, we can talk about it then," he smiled as he rested his arm on my side.
He and I spent the rest of the day just relaxing, watching tv, ordering room service, then ending the day with another bath. I was literally going to steal that tub and take it home with me. It was heaven, I'll say. As we crawled into bed that night, I wanted to bring up what I've been wanting to since last night, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I fell asleep next to Jack with the guilt plaguing my entire body.
