I kind of feel like this chapter will be somewhat like the last, but just remember, it is the same situation and everything with bringing the babies home, so please, just bear with me, okay? I will try to make it a little different:3 (probably won't succeed, but whatever)
"You ready, babe?" Jack asked me as I walked out of the bathroom.
"Yeah, I think so," I smiled.
"Good, then let's bring these two little, adorable babies home for the first time," he smiled back at me.
Jack threw my bag over his shoulder, then reached down and grabbed the car seat with Patrick in it (okay, 'with Patrick in it'. Am I the only one picturing freaking Patrick (like Emily's dad) in a little tiny car seat right now? xD Hell, he'd probably fit tbh xD). I grabbed the car seat with Ohana in it, then we walked out of the room and down the hallway. Once we got outside, Jack opened one door, then I went around the vehicle and opened the other door. Jack and I both situated the babies on the seats, then we gently closed the doors. Jack hopped in the drivers seat, then I hopped into the passenger seat.
"We did it," Jack said, pulling onto the busy street.
"Well, we did, but it's just beginning," I chuckled. "Now, we're actually parents. We're parents of two little humans that depend on us. Babe, this is just the start of it."
"Yeah, good point, but I know we can do it," Jack said.
"Me too," I smiled. "I'm going to admit, I'm scared, but I'm also really excited."
"I am too, but you know I've got your back, along with our two little babies," he said.
"You're amazing," I said.
"So are you," he said, turning his head and smiling at me shortly.
"Thanks for makin' me a mommy," I chuckled.
"Thank you for making me a daddy," Jack smiled again, reaching over and taking my hand in his.
After ten more minutes, Jack and I arrived home. Jack did the same: grabbing my bag and throwing it over his shoulder, then grabbing the car seat with Patrick in it. I grabbed Ohana's, then we walked into the house. We set the babies on the coffee table, then worked on getting them out of the car seat. We decided we'd bring them upstairs for a nap, since they had just eaten back at the hospital. Patrick was in Jack's arms, then Ohana was in mine. We started up the stairs, then made it to the babies room, where the door was shut.
"Didn't we leave this open?" Jack asked.
"That's what I thought," I chuckled, reaching for the doorknob, then slowly opening the door.
"Welcome home!" people shouted.
"You guys!" I smiled as I looked around the room.
Jaimee, Nick, Joe, Andy, Pete, Patrick, and little Jackson were in there. Jack and I were smiling and laughing. We walked over to everyone, practically passing the babies around for everyone to hold. Everyone was saying how cute they were and good they looked. It made me smile and actually feel somewhat proud. A short while after that, Jack and I put the babies down in their crib, making sure to turn the baby monitors on, then we all quietly left the room and walked downstairs.
"So, you guys!" I said again as I laughed, hugging them all. "You guys are the best."
"I can agree to that," Jack smiled, hugging everyone as well.
"Hey! This is my first time seeing Jackson!" I said. "Can I hold my little brother?"
"Yeah, here," Patrick smiled, gently setting Jackson in my arms.
