Chapter 28: Changing Plans

The next morning…

Audrey P.O.V

Elana I still think you should tell Diggy about this. You’re probably tired of me saying this but what else can I do?

Elana P.O.V

“You can shut up.” I said as I fixed my mascara.

Audrey P.O.V

Fine but when this all falls on your face don’t crying to me because in the end I will say I told you so.

Elana P.O.V

I paid no attention to Audrey as I got ready to go see Jionni. I had to make sure I look good otherwise he would question my appearance. I put a stick of mint gum in my mouth and grabbed the SUV keys. I always take the crappiest or biggest car in the driveway so Jionni won’t try to keep it. I walked downstairs and saw Dan lying on the couch asleep. I walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the forehead letting my lipstick leave a big mark.

“Bye Lana.” Diggy said in a sluggish half sleep voice.

I smiled and left the house. The morning air smelled refreshing as I drove on down the freeway. I looked at the cars passing by to keep my mind off of Jionni and his operation that he wanted to talk to me about. I approached the hotel Jionni stayed in and got out. I nervously pushed the button to the elevator and waited for it to go down. 5….4….3….2…1… I looked at the top of the elevator that had the numbers. I got inside the fancy elevator and pushed 10. I felt as it lifted me to that floor; my heart rushing in my chest. The elevator made a ding as it opened. I walked slowly down the hall and knocked on the door. One Jionni’s friends appeared at the door and let me in. Jionni sat in the living room with his feet up. He looked up at me and gave a disgusting smile.

“Now don’t you look sexy?” He complimented.

I gave a fake smile and sat on the couch.

“No come sit next to me.” He motioned.

I sat next to him in the recliner like chair. His heavy cologne filled my nostrils.

“So the plan is to lure him over and then murder him cold blooded. See Khalil he’s doing the drug shipping along with helping you out. I want this to go smooth as planned. And about Diggy, you’re still playing him right?” Jionni asked.

“Of course babe, He really thinks he has a chance at getting back with me. But me and him are never getting back together.” I laughed.

“Good.” Jionni smiled.

“I have to go to the bathroom I’ll be back.” I got up leaving my purse.

Jionni P.O.V

I dug into Elana’s purse and grabbed her phone. I started a new message to Diggy.

AudreyElane: Diggy tomorrow night meet me at the shipping docks

JetsetterGeneral: Why?

AudreyElane: Because there is a boat waiting for us so we can go on date. You know you and I can catch up on us. Maybe even go back to how things use to be.

JetsetterGeneral: I like that idea. Just send me the address.

AudreyElane: 7280 seagull lane the right entrance not the left and you can’t say anything to anyone and you can’t mention it to me because I don’t want you ruin your surprise by telling you all the details.

JetsetterGeneral: Hahaha I won’t

I ended the text message and drop the phone back in her purse.
