Not So Disastrous Life

Intro

My name is Kusuo Saiki. As you've read from the intro this is a story about me and this part is from my point of view. If you've seen my anime you already know about my psychic powers. I can do anything, read minds, control people even, but here's the deal, for some reason with this new girl they don't work. Not at all. Here's the story.

Everything started out as your cliche opening. The teacher just called her in to introduce herself. I didn't care.

"Introduce yourself please"
"Certainly. My name is Juliet Monteque" She bowed. "It's a pleasure."

"Oh a new student. It's so nice!" Teruhashi said. Yet of course what she really thought was "She's beautiful sure, but she'll never beat me. I'm the perfect pretty girl after all."

Why are you so loved? Anyway, I wanted to see if this new girl was gonna cause issues for me. Oh, from now on I'll tell this story in a present time. Like this.

Saiki's POV;

A new girl huh? Everyone else thinks she's gonna be amazing. Let's see what she's really like.

Normal;

See what I did there? Good. So yea I really did try to read her mind, but that's where things got weird.

Saiki's POV;

What? My telepathically isn't working? Don't tell me she's another Nendo. She doesn't seem like him.

"You can take your seat Ms. Monteque."

"Thank you." Juliet said. She looked around before sitting next to me. I paid no attention to her since I couldn't read her mind. She wasn't having it.

"Hi there. I like your hair pins." She said with a smile. It's funny, most people just don't notice them. Perhaps I should say something.

"I'm Kusuo Saiki. Welcome to out school"

No response? Here I thought she was actually nice.

"Is something wrong?" She tilted her head. "Oh right we haven't formally met. Well, as said, I'm Juliet Monteque. What's your name?"

"I told you, it's Saiki."

"There's no need to be nervous. I don't bite."

"Are you not listening to me?"

"Well it's nice to meet you anyway." She said as she patted my hand.

Normal;

That's where things got weird, even for me. The moment she touched my hand something happened. No I don't mean like that, perverts, my powers disappeared. Kinda. I was so shocked I fell out of my chair but it seems the instant I was no longer in contact with her they came back. But as to be expected, everyone's eyes were on me.

Saiki's POV;

"You ok buddy?" Nendo asked. I stood up and brushed my uniform pants off.

"I'm fine. Just got startled."

"Maybe you should go see the nurse." Kaido added. I nodded and walked out the classroom door. From inside the room I could hear that new girl speaking, then the door opened again and she rushed out behind me. Dang it.

"Hi there! Look I know we got off on the wrong foot and I was probably the one that scared you out of your seat and for that I apologize. I asked the teacher if I could walk you down to the nurse's office, or more so accompany you....since I don't know the school."

"Why would I want you too."

"By the way, the teacher told me your name."

"I've literally told you twice."

"Kusuo Saiki. It's a nice name." She smiled again. She seems like Teruhashi in a way, but why can't I read her mind. Already I can tell she's not like Nendo, but whenever I try to read her mind I get nothing. It's like a wall. Plus, what was with that power drop. When she touched my hand all my powers disappeared. In fact I saw everyone clearly and not in muscular form. And on top of that it seems that I can't project my voice to her. She probably thinks I'm rude. What do I do.

"Well let's try it again. I'm Juliet Monteque. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kusuo Saiki." She shook my hand. Just like before, my powers vanished. What's with this girl!?
