Michael’s P.O.V

As soon as I saw her in the crowd I knew that I had to get to know her. She was smiling and laughing just like everyone else, but there was something behind it, something she was trying to hide. I had to figure out what it was! My eyes locked on her for most of the night. I almost forgot to sing my solo in one of the songs because I was watching her dance. This girl had me wrapped around her finger and I didn’t even know her name!

Once we started to play Amnesia the hurt in her eyes showed out over the happiness. She stayed until the end of the song, but when we began to say our goodbyes she tried to slip out. I just couldn’t let her slip away from me that easily. I put my guitar on a stand and took off after her with the boys yelling at me to get back on stage. I ran to the door and slammed it open fearing that I was too late. I saw her put her phone in her pocket before starting to walk off. I ran towards her and grabbed her hand. “Please, don’t go,” I panted. I was breathless before trying to run after this girl, so now my lungs were begging for air. I held her hand the whole time we talked, but she didt notice.

I talked her into staying the night with us since she walked here and I didn’t want her to get hurt. Plus, I really didn’t want to see her leave yet. I needed to know more about her. I walked her back to our little hideout house where the rest of the boys were. She looked down at her feet the whole time like she was afraid to look at the other people around us.

I stopped her right outside the door and signaled for her to stay silent, I wanted to surprise the guys. I stuck my head through the door. “Are you three fully clothed?”

“When has that ever mattered?” Calum asked.

“Yes, we’re clothed,” Luke yelled over Calum and Ashton laughing.

“Good, I have someone for you to meet,” I said as I put my arm around Savannah and brought her in the room. She was blushing and looked so shy. It was so cute!

“Hi,” she mumbled. She was looking at the floor while playing with her hands, aww.

“You don’t have to be scared of us. We don’t bite,” Luke laughed.

“Well, most of us don’t,” Calum joked.

“Yeah, Michael might end up biting you. We wrote Daylight after he turned,” Ashton laughed. I was about to tell him off when I heard Savannah giggling.

“This is Savannah and I told her she could stay with us tonight instead of walking home and possibly getting kidnapped,” I said.

“Alright, I’m going to bed so have fun,” Luke yawned. He walked off to his room with Calum on his heels.

“Don’t have too much fun alright,” Ashton said as he walked off to his room, glaring at me the whole time.

“Wanna play some video games?” I asked Savannah. She looked at me with the brightest eyes I’d ever seen.

“I’d love to,” she said as she jumped up off the couch. I laughed and walked with her to my room. It wasn’t as messy as Luke’s, but it could have been cleaner.

“Sorry about the mess,” I muttered as I found two controllers. When I looked back at her she was sitting on my bed looking at one of my drawings.

“Normal for any teenager. Looks better than my room at the moment,” she said as she studied the drawing of my superhero from the Don’t Stop video. “This is really good. I didn’t know that you drew.”

“I just draw every now and then,” I told her as I handed her the controller. I turned on Call of Duty and explained the controls to her. She was doing alright, but she still ended up dying a lot.

“Would you mind if I added something to your drawing?” she asked after dying for the tenth time.

“Not at all.” She laid her controller on the floor and sat at the head of my bed with my drawing and a pencil. I played for another hour or so before I turned the game off. I looked back at Savannah and saw that she was asleep. I took the pencil and my drawing away from her, but the drawing caught my eye.

She had drawn another hero next to mine. It was in black and white, but I could tell she based it off of herself. The hero was wearing a suit that looked like convicts clothes with a metal mask that only showed her eyes and had three slots near her mouth. Psycosis was drawn in 3D next to my hero’s name.

I wondered why she drew that. I knew there was something behind it when I saw the tear spot next to her hero and saw that she had been crying before she fell asleep. I figured I’d let it go for now. I need to get her to trust me before I start asking about stuff like that.

I slipped into some pajamas and lay down next to Savannah. I fell asleep with my head full of questions about this stranger that had me so confused.
