I went back to my dorm room and started packing what few belongings I did own. I filled up one suitcase with my clothes and a backpack with my art supplies. I jumped a bit when I got a text. I never text anyone. I looked at my phone and saw that it was Mikey. They talked to the lady in charge of the school and she said that all I had to do was e-mail her a few good drawings every week! He also offered to come over and help me pack. He is so sweet!

I told him that I could handle the packing, but I would appreciate a ride to where we would be staying. He was at my door in about five minutes. “Is this all you’re taking?” he asked when he saw the suitcase and backpack.

“That’s all I have. I’ve got enough clothes to do me for a while and art supplies don’t usually run away from me,” I laughed. I grabbed the backpack, but he grabbed my suitcase before I could. “What are you doing?”

“Being a good boyfriend and carrying your suitcase,” he said like it was obvious, which I guess it kind of was. We walked down to the parking lot and to the van where the rest of the band was waiting. He put my suitcase in the back and helped me into the huge van.

“You know that you’re going to have to get used to our weirdness and pervertedness now, right?” Ashton asked from the driver’s seat.

“Yes, I know that,” I laughed. I sat all the way in the back with Michael while Luke sat next to Ashton and Calum had a row of seats to himself. It was already getting dark outside when we left.

“Who wants to camp in the backyard?” Calum asked when we got inside.

“Can we all fit in one tent?” Ash laughed.

“There are two tents in the garage,” Luke yelled from down there.

“Do you mind going backyard camping?” Michael asked me.

“I love camping, of any kind!” I laughed. We all ran downstairs to help Luke with the tents. I helped the boys put up the tents. I don’t know how, but at one point Luke got his lip ring stuck on one of the ties on the tent. It took the other four of us 20 minutes to get him unhooked!

When we were finished there was an orange four person tent and a grey one/ two if you cuddle together person tent set up in their backyard. We all went inside and gathered some covers and pillows. I lay down in the grey one person tent and tried to get comfortable. I cuddled up with a teddy bear that I found in the house. I was going to take one of Luke’s stuffed penguins, but he caught me with it and yelled at me.

Someone opened the zipper and poked their head in the tent. “Wouldn’t you rather cuddle with me instead of a teddy bear?” Michael asked.

“Kind of, but he does have rainbow hair like you,” I mumbled as I ran my fingers through the teddy bear’s fur. Michael crawled in the tent and lay down in front of me. He picked up the teddy bear and studied it for a moment.

“How do you know it’s a he?”

“I don’t. I just always call teddy bears he. Now shut up and cuddle,” I giggled. He laughed with me and pulled me into his arms. We ended up lying so my head was on his shoulder with my arm on his chest and his arms around me.

“Goodnight, Savannah,” he yawned as he kissed the top of my head.

“’Night Mikey,” I mumbled as I fell asleep.

Michael

I felt her breathing shallow out, signaling that she was asleep. I looked down at her face and pushed a strand of hair away. It must have tickled her nose because she wiggled her nose and scrunched it up. She was too cute for her own good sometimes.

She was in an old worn in pair of sweats and a super baggy shirt that could have been a dress on her, but I still would have told her she was hot. She put on a pair of fluffy socks when she found out we were backyard camping. They were cute and no doubt keeping her warm, but they kept tickling my feet. We had the cover off of my bed and the blanket off of the couch, but it was still cold. I was about frozen and judging by the way she cuddled up to me I think Savannah was too.

I woke her up slightly. “I’m going to get another blanket.” She mumbled something I couldn’t understand and rolled over hugging up Luke’s teddy bear. Is it bad that I was starting to get jealous of a stuffed bear? I walked over to the boy’s tent and popped my head in. I noticed that Ashton had earplugs in right away. It took me a moment, but then I figured out why. He usually had the dirtiest mind of the four of us. I grabbed a huge fuzzy blanket and ran back to our tent.

I crawled in and lay down with Savannah. She instantly rolled back over and hugged me up tight. I threw the blanket over both of us and hugged her up a little looser than she had me. She was so small I was afraid to break her! I kissed her forehead and fell asleep.
