Savannah

I was woken up halfway through my nightmare. I jumped and noticed Michael leaning over me, violently shaking my shoulder. “I thought you were dying or something,” he whisper shouted when he noticed I was awake. I had slowed my breathing by now and realized that tears were pouring down my face. I went to say something, but no words came out of my mouth. “It must have been one bad nightmare.” I just nodded before he pulled me into a hug.

I was crying into his chest with my arms around his waist as he held me tight and ran his fingers through my hair. “Shh, it was just a dream, an awful, scary dream,” he whispered in my ear. If only he knew. We stayed like that until I could actually talk again.

“I’m sorry,” I croaked out. I felt so ashamed I couldn’t even look at him. “I'm sorry you saw that,” He put his hand on the side of my face and turned it so I was looking him straight in the eyes.

“It’s alright. You had a bad dream that really got to you. It happens to everyone now and then,” he muttered as his eyes fell on my lips. He leaned in to kiss me, but at the last moment I turned my head so he kissed my cheek. He pulled back rather quickly. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that,” he stuttered as his hand when to fluff up his now somewhat flat hair.

“It’s nothing you did. I’ve just never had my first kiss, and I don’t want to mess it up,” I whispered as I realized how close we were to each other. His eyes lit up as he laughed.

“You couldn’t mess it up if you tried.” He leaned in again, but this time I didn’t turn my head. I closed my eyes a second before his lips touched mine. It was the kind of kiss that made you smile halfway through it and left tingles on your lips afterwards.

“Wow,” was all either of us could say afterwards. Of course that was when the boys had to come and ruin it.

“Mikey kissed a girl! Mikey kissed a girl,” Ashton yelled as he jumped around with his phone, no doubt recording everything.

“Did you get it on the keek?” Calum asked. Ash just nodded his head while clicking on his phone.

“Just uploaded it,” he announced with his phone in the air like it was a trophy.

“Wait, everyone’s going to be able to see us kissing?” Michael somewhat yelled.

“Yeah,” Ash said while rewatching the video. “That wasn’t even a very good kiss Michael.”

“Your idea of a good kiss is sticking your tongue down someone’s throat!”

“Well, yeah.”

“I’m not going to do that!"

“I’ll go in the living room and let you all get dressed,” I said once I noticed three fourths of my favorite band were only in their boxers.

I walked back in the living room and sat down on the couch. I took out my phone and turned on some music through my headphones. A-team by Ed Sheeran came on and I started singing along like normal. I had sung up to the bridge before I noticed that the music had been turned off. I looked up and saw the guys standing around me with their eyes and mouths open wide. Luke had my phone in his hand so I grabbed it and took my headphones off. “Was I really that bad?” I asked as they just continued to stare at me.

Ashton snapped out of it first. “No! That was awesome!”

“I had no clue you could sing like that,” Michael said almost breathlessly.

“Would you ever consider coming on tour with us?” Luke asked after a moment.

“WHAT?!” I asked as I jumped up off of the couch. I could not have heard him correctly.

“He said would you like to come with us on tour,” Calum said right in my ear.

“I’m not that good,” I said as I looked at the floor and shook my head.

“Yes, you are now say yes or you take the chance of us kidnapping you and dragging you along with us anyway,” Ashton said. I honestly didn’t know if he was joking or not.

“Alright, but what about Uni?” I asked when I remembered how I was able to stay here and not be on the streets.

“What are you in Uni for?” Luke asked.

“I’m there for drawing.”

“You don’t need a school to tell you how to draw, but if it’s important to you we could talk to the person in charge and see what we could work out,” Ashton said.

“That would be amazing,” I said jumping around and hugging him. I looked at my phone and jumped. “I’m sorry, but I really have to go. I’ve got to get to work.” I went to run out the door, but Michael grabbed my hand before I made it very far.

“Would you ever consider going out with me?” he asked. He looked so nervous it was almost too cute.

“Yes, now I have to get to the radio statiokn,” I laughed as he let go of my arm. I ran out of the hideout and heard yelling, happy yelling. I laughed at the boys and put my headphones on. I ran all the way back to campus and the station.

“You’re just in time,” Jack said as I ran in. We work the same shift every time and I never knew why. I always sort music in the small building and sing along to the station while he does all the technological things and hosts. He put his headphones on and started the show. “Hey, it’s Jack and Jay-Jay coming to you all with the top twenty of the week!” He always introduced me by his version of my middle name even though I never said anything on air.

We did our shifts and left. I told Jack about me possibly going on tour with 5sos. He seemed kind of upset that I would be leaving, but he still wished me good luck.
