We had toured most of Europe and now we were taking a few days off to rest and sightsee in Ireland. We went to just about every tourist place there. I got yelled at for asking a Scottish man if he had an Irish accent, and Savannah laughed at me for half an hour. We took one whole day to just catch up on sleep. We stayed in my bunk all day and watched Fruits Basket on Savannah’s laptop. Little did she know that I had a surprise planned for later.
I got up around six to start my surprise and I got the guys to help me some.

Ireland was amazing and so was Mikey’s idea to spend a whole day catching up on sleep. Their concerts could keep going until late in the night or sometimes even early in the morning, but we all loved them. I introduced him to my favorite anime, Fruits Basket. I woke up around seven and rolled over out of the bunk. “Are you alright?” Luke asked/laughed when he saw me.
“Yeah, not the first time I’ve fallen out of a bunk and I know it won’t be the last,” I groaned as I got up and rubbed the sleep put of my eyes. I changed into presentable clothes and walked out to the main room of the bus. “Where is everyone?”
“Out working on your surprise.”
“Surprise? What surprise?”
“The surprise Mikey planned for you. By the way, I’m supposed to give this to you,” he said as he pulled a silvery box out from behind the couch. “Now go get changed,” he urged as he pushed me back into the bunk room.
I looked at the box for a minute before pulling the lid off. Inside was a note, a dress, and a necklace. I took the note out and set the box on my bunk.
“Hey babe,
I hope you don’t mind, but seeing as we are in a place you’ve always wanted to visit I thought it would be sweet to have a date. Put the dress and necklace on with whatever else you want to wear and Luke will bring you where the rest of the guys and I are waiting. I love you.
~Mikey
I smiled and pulled out the dress. It had a black under layer and a blue lace top layer. I slipped that on and then picked up the necklace. It was a silver and black Cheshire Cat pendant on a delicate weathered looking chain. I slipped my black obsidian ring on my thumb and pulled on my high tops. I fixed my hair, put on concealer, and put on some light eye shadow.
I looked myself over in the mirror and smiled. The dress came about mid-thigh on me and my shoes surprisingly went with the dress. I walked out and stood in front of Luke. “Does this look alright?” I was always bashful about how I looked. I never thought I was good enough.
He looked up from his phone at me and blushed. “You look perfect,” he breathed out.
I blushed and looked at the floor to hide it. “Well, let’s go. Don’t want to keep them waiting do we?” He got up and jokingly bowed, taking my hand. We then ran to a little park not far from where the bus was parked.
“Here we are, Milady,” he joked as we walked up to a picnic area. I gasped when I took in the sight. There were lights hanging everywhere and the full moon was in perfect view. Mikey was sitting at a stone picnic table tapping his foot like crazy, looking over everything to make sure it was perfect. His jaw fell when he saw me. I blushed and started to play with my necklace like I always do when I’m nervous.
Soon I felt his finger under my chin slightly pulling my head so I had to look at him. “You don’t have to hide from me. I’d really like to see that beautiful face,” he whispered as he leaned in. I wrapped my arms around his neck and met him half way to the kiss. His hands were on my waist as my foot lifted off of the ground. We kissed through all of the pictures and words from the other boys.
“We’ll leave you two alone now,” Calum said as we found a stopping place and pulled apart. Mikey attempted to push my side swept bangs behind my ear as we just stood there staring into each other’s eyes. He grabbed my hand linking his fingers with mine and led me over to the table. He pressed a button on his phone and a playlist of All Time Low, One Direction, Mayday Parade, and 5 Seconds of Summer started playing.
“You really didn’t need to do this,” I said as I rested my head on his shoulder.
“I know, but I wanted to. We’ve been dating for almost half a year and haven’t gone on one real date,” he pointed out. “Plus, I wanted to get away from everybody else and be alone with you.”
“Well, when did you become such a big ol’ softy?” I teased as I lightly shoved him.
“When I met you.”
“Alright, just don’t go completely soft on me. I fell in love with Michael Gordon Clifford the punk rock boy from a cool band that always dyes his hair, not Michael the softy.” We laughed and snacked around on pizza and sweets.
We ran around the park and stopped when we found a playground. We were lying on top of a wooden fort looking at the stars. “Before, did you say you loved me?” My cheeks heated up as he stared down at me with wonder.
“I..I guess I did.”
“Did you meant it or did it just slip out?”
I thought about it for a minute. “I meant it. I really think I’m starting love you.”
“Since you said that you should know that I’ve always loved you. I’ve loved you since I saw you at our concert.”
Tears filled my eyes as I turned to face him. He was blushing which was extremely cute! I didn’t want to ruin the moment so I just hugged him up and happily cried into his chest. He held me in his arms and started singing my favorite 5SOS songs. I must have been more tired than I thought because the next thing I knew I was in the bunk with Mikey telling me to go back to sleep.
