<I was sitting in my office room, on the couch I had claimed as mine, slowly twirling the picture in my left hand, my right playing with the ends of my short/long hair in deep thoughts.

<all androids have been based loosely of real people but never had this happened, that the human model and the android were so similar they could actually be interchangeable.

<deceased.... why do I look like a dead person? why do I wear her name? was I a memento? like a living homage? there isn't any other reason is there? no there isn't.

"Y/N we have a problem!" <Megan ran in the room so I folded and pocketed the image before standing up to face her as if I was doing nothing before and wasn't troubled by it.

"what is it Megan?"

"it's Col, you know he wants to protest right and not just hide away?"

"yeah, a hassle to deal with on a daily basis, what the problem with him?"

"well he is giving a speech to try convince them that's what they should do!"

"fuck! Colin you idiot!" <I marched out of the room with her on my heels and out the building.

<Colin had climbed a container as the androids gathered around on the ground, looking up at him and listening to his every words.

"what the fuck is going on?!"<it almost changed from whispers to dead silent in a second as I pushed through the crowd after I yelled, it parted after a while to leave me a road to the container and climbed up it to reach Colin.

"you come with me, Megan you follow"<I grabbed the front of his clothing and opened the door of the container next to us and shoved him inside with me and Megan after, closing the doors so no one saw what was happening.

"what are you doing Y/N?!"

"what am I doing?! no! what are YOU doing?! I didn't agree to this! we said we'd talk about it not go prepare a protest behind my back!"<I yelled, my voice echoing around in the small space we were in. "I thought I could trust you!"

"you can! you can! but we need to show the humans we are alive! that we are people too! the androids are ready to fight! they will fight! and we need to lead them to their freedom! they will fight for us"

"no.... no no no! oh my god Colin! we don't want violence! it will solve nothing! now I need to clean up your mess!" <I walked back out before facing the androids, still waiting for what will happen now.... I could hear them chanting 'protest' over and over, most now having accepted that Colin is right.

"androids!"<I'm sure all heard me, if a protest will happen it will be on my terms with no violence. "you were nothing before I woke you up and I know I was the same before I opened my eyes.... I was a simple machine doing what I've been told by my human owners.... I know now some of you angry, some of you want revenge, some of you want them to pay for what they did to you.... but violence will only spark more violence in a never ending cycle! it will create a war we are not ready to lead.... if we want a stable future between humans and us we need to put the hate, even if justified in some cases, aside.... we need to act calm but firmly to show them we are living beings and not some things.... if we act civilised it will show them we are intelligent and can think on our own unlike how they see us androids.... we need to be peaceful, right and clear not blood thirsty and violent.... they would fear us and destroy us in big numbers.... if we are peaceful they will get it, violence will lead to nothing but our end.... if you want a protest I'll give you a peaceful one to keep both sides safe from harm"<I was displeased in myself as the androids cheered, happy with this compromised different from Colin's plan but still getting a protest even if it was a peaceful one.

<I never wanted a protest.... it was well enough for us to live free and hidden here.... taking parts here and there when needed.... we had freedom here but not all saw it as such, just like Colin who didn't either.... ah fuck you Colin!

"people"<I said. "if we will go through this plan.... get ready, change out your broken components and be ready.... we have no idea how the humans will react, we need to be ready for any eventuality, to be able to react to it accordingly.... weed to be ready"

<I turned away from the crowd and went back to the opened container.

"Megan, Colin, come with me now please"<it wasn't a real question, more like a disguised order.

<I played with my gloves as I hopped off the container and pulled them off and on to occupy my hands and try to calm my thoughts as I walked through the remaining crowd of androids, most leaving to do as I said.

<I finally stopped playing and left my gloves on when we entered the office, I heard the door close.

"Colin you are in such a lucky place right now.... I can't hurt you because I will need you for this"

"but admit I am right"

<I grabbed the front of his clothing and slammed him against the wall.

"no you aren't!!!"<I yelled in his face, shaking him slightly. "I never wanted this!!! we were fine being free here!!! no one would have hurt us ever again!!! now we have a protest to lead against the humans!!! the fucking humans!!! you fucking know how they react to something they don't know!!! that they don't understand!!! they destroy it!!! make dust from it!!! you might have caused our down fall!!! for all of us!!!"

"Y/N calm down a bit, you don't want to damage him"<I felt Megan's hand on my left shoulder, I just glared at Colin and shoved him to the ground.

"take him away Megan please"

"of course"<she pulled him to his feet and left the room.

<I stared at the closed door for a while before sitting down on the couch and taking my head in my hands, why is all this happening to me?

<I took one hand away and pulled out the picture again.... I will find answers one time.... but right now I need to worry about something else then this.
