Hanna's pov:
after that shot I only knew pain and then nothing in the fraction of a second.
I woke up to the annoying beeping sound and tried to turn off my alarm clock but pain shot up my back at the movement making me realise the truth of what was going on.
I had a difficult time opening my eyes.
I saw blurry stuff before an arm gently placed me back in my place even if I just barely had moved.
"sleep" gladly mystery voice, gladly.
next time I was awake; it was less difficult.
I looked around to see I was in a hospital.... did.... did we make it?
"oh my god Hanna!" my head snapped to the left just before a happy crying Julie hugged the life out of my body.
"I....can't.... breath" I forced out.
"oh sorry I just thought I lost you too"
"I'm fi-- me too?" she nodded sadly.
"Opal is in bad condition but reparable with time...... Y/N had it worst"
"what happened?!" I gripped tightly on her."
"Hanna calm down and lay back down"
I did so, waiting for her to tell me.
"well after we got shot at and you went out like a light, she started the panic of course, starting the engine only to have it stop working...... she jumped in the water to push the boat to the other shore.... with that hole in her side water had an ease access to her internal components, in the end I found a way to stop you from bleeding out and helping her but her movements were already jerky with whole loads of problems, she shut down when we reached the land, I had to run in land to get help for us"
I was stunned, water meeting internal components was like a death wish for androids.
"she said she had a promise to stay true too before jumping in"
".... that she would die before I did" tears welled up in my eyes as I tightly gripped the blanket over me in my fists.
"yeah.... and since her model in one of a kind it's hard finding compatible elements but I promise she'll be fine" she held my hand as I shook my head, making the tears fall.
"y-you can't promise s-such a thing"
"I know.... I know...... but that is not the only bad news I have for you unfortunately" she said with tears filling her own eyes.
I knew I wasn't ready for another one of those bad news but asked for it anyway.
"tell me"
"the doctors said that bullet hit the side of your spine, breaking a vertebrate and..... and severing the n-nerve"
I think that's when my life shattered in millions of pieces, each smaller than the one before it.
I threw the blanket of me and pushed myself up with my elbows despite what Julie was telling me, to stay laying.
t-they won't move....... I-I can't move them.... my legs.... I-I can't move my legs! no! please no! not this! please no no no no!
I felt Julie hug my tightly, holding my face against her as I cried my eyes out, it's not possible.... it's just not possible.... why...? why why why.... why?!?!
after that my day were dull, with nothing to look forwards to, I cared about nothing, I did nothing.
