When I wake up the next morning, something feels different. I feel something warm wrapped around my body, and at first it feels good, so I give in, but then I realize that something is wrong.
I slowly open my eyes, glancing down at the arm that drapes over my chest.
It's a female arm.
I smile a bit, letting my eyes shut on their own, only to be completely awake the next minute, rushing out of bed.
"Whoa, whoa," I say, chuckling lightly, but hesitantly.
On my bed there is a girl wearing nothing but a white shirt, which I assume is mine. The hell?"
Okay, she really pretty, but this is definitely weird.
I raise an eyebrow and chuckle nervously. "Uh, who are you?" I ask.
The girl opens her eyes before yawning. She looks at me like I'm crazy. "Who am I? You bring me home the night before the next morning, and you don't even remember?" She sounds a bit... snobby.
"Um..."
Truth is, I don't have a clue what's going on. I don't remember the night, I don't remember the girl. I don't even remember what day it is.
I need to find Alfie.
I eye the girl once more. She has long brunette hair and hazel eyes. She has red lips and a slender body.
I shake my head at myself and look up. "Get out."
I notice female clothes all over the floor, and it makes me cringe.
"Take your clothes, and leave."
"What-"She looks at me like she doesn't understand me. "You can't just."
"Leave now." I say, with my voice firm.
She only nods before picking her stuff up of the floor."
"I'm going to go. You can change here. But by the time I get back I want you gone."
I turn around and head out of my room.
I can't believe I bought a random girl home.
Well, I can't believe it- but that's not the point.
Why did Alfie let me bring home a girl anyway? I remember this once I told him to never let me do something like that again.
I snort before knocking on Alfie's door. "Alfie?" I call out.
No answer.
I furrow my eyes together in thought. That's weird.
He must be awake by now.
I knock again, but this time the door creaks open.
I take a step back as the door slides open.
"Alfie?" I call again.
I can hear small whimpering and sniffles, which is weird.
I step into the room, carefully, and look around.
No Alfie.
Hmm.
I hear the shower running, just a bit though, so I go over to check it out. "Alfie?" I call for a third time. "You in here?"
I knock on the bathroom door, which also slides open like the bedroom door did.
The sound of water running gets louder and so does the whimpering and sniffles.
I step into the bathroom and that's when I see it.
I see Alfie hovering over the sink, a knife in his hands and tears in his eyes.
The shower water is running, but I don't know what for.
But, mainly I'm just focused on Alfie.
Why is there a knife in his hands?
Why are his eyes wide with fear?
Why is my Alfie crying?
"Alfie?" I softly ask, afraid he's going to break if I speak any louder.
Alfie turns his head to see me.
He blinks once, and then again, the tears now streaming down his cheeks.
He opens his mouth, as if to say something, but I hear no words.
Then suddenly he throws the knife to the floor and yells. "Damn you, Joey Williams, damn you to hell!"
I feel my heart suddenly break to pieces.
That really hurts...
But he doesn't stop there. He glares daggers at me, making me gulp and step back.
"I loved you!" He shouts. "I loved you so much and this is how you repay me?!" with a simple hand movement, he slashes at the things on the sink and lets them fall; they hit the ground with a loud crash.
I flinch a bit, suddenly feeling a bit attacked.
What is going on?
I want to say something in response to his words, but my mouth just can say anything.
"I hate you!" He continues. "Go to hell, Joey!"
Suddenly the knife from the ground reappears in his hands and, as I step forwards, he plunges it into his own heart.
My eyes widen in terror. I want to rush over to him, to save him, but my legs won't work!
Goddammit.
I close my eyes shut to prevent the tears from coming, but it didn't work. The tears stream down my cheeks, my heart pounds against my skull, and my head goes blank.
Fucking hell.
And then, all of a sudden, my eyes fly open and I'm staring at my ceiling. I'm back in my bedroom.
What the fuck has just happened?
I furrow my eyebrows in deep thoughts and just continue to stare at my ceiling.
Was that all a dream?
Wait, was that a nightmare?
I frown to myself before rushing out of bed, faster than when my mum told me she was taking me to Disneyland.
I just have to make sure Alfie is alright.
Or I'm going to lose it.
I rush out of my room and knock on Alfie's.
"Alfie?" my voice is firm, but also dripping with concern.
No answer.
I start to panic inside, and when I attempt to knock again, his door opens with a tired looking Alfie on the opposite side.
My eyes widen in surprise and in less than a second I pull Alfie into a tight hug.
He yelps in surprise and says, "Uh... Joey?"
I don't let him go nor do I stop to explain.
He won't understand anyway.
I just smile and embrace him tighter.
"Hug me back." I say, pretending to be upset.
"Uh, okay," Alfie replies laughing hesitantly. He then wraps his arms around me.
"Thanks."
I feel comfortable in his arms- too comfortable, which is not always a good thing.
He has a boyfriend and I'm too afraid to admit my feelings for him.
And I just hate myself for it...
"Uh... will you let go now? I need to use the bathroom." Alfie lets out a little chuckle, which sounds a bit uneasy.
"Nope."
"No- seriously Joey, my bladders going to explode," he says sounding panicky.
"I don't care," I say, tightening my arms around him.
"Joey, please," he says gasping. "Seriously- I need to piss. Oh my God."
I roll my eyes back and pull back. "Fine then."
Alfie only nods before running off to his bathroom, leaving me there laughing to myself.
He's just so cute. I want to kiss his beautiful lips forever.
I love him so much.
