Ayata's P.O.V.
Lloyd and Pythor began their plans against the boarding school the next day.
Lloyd still hasn't spoken to me since last night and avoided me as though I was the plague.
Honestly, I think it was better this way. It would make it easier for me to leave when I got the chance. It doesn't seem like he wants my company anymore anyways, so he wouldn't care if I left, right?
Though he did catch me one time when I tried leaving the cave, but I had managed to lie my way out of suspicion.
Still, I couldn't ignore the fact that Pythor was only doing this in order to get the map from Lloyd.
Although I did try to warn him about it; but that's what got me into this situation.
Pythor was not like any other Serpentine, that's for sure. He's much more cunning and manipulative than them. (A/N *Cough* Slytherin *Cough*)
I realized it was probably best if I leave as soon as possible.
And the best chance I have is at the Boarding School.
*Mini Time-Skip :) *
After Pythor and Lloyd had finished rounding up the students and setting up the traps, we went to the roof to see if we could spot the ninja before they came.
Lloyd was pacing around frantically, his eyes wandering to every corner in his paranoia.
Unfortunately this meant I couldn't use the trapdoor to leave, seeing as his eyes kept looking there the most.
I couldn't use the other 'route' either, knowing that he would get suspicious of my sudden disappearance without the use of the trapdoor.
Pythor tried calming his nerves.
"Relax. We've got the perfect trap! And we're in broad daylight, so there aren't many shadows they could hide in. I mean, even if they could get in--"
"What's that!" Lloyd suddenly shouted.
Pythor set off the cannon, firing the net in the direction Lloyd noticed movement.
I mentally deadpanned when the supposed 'intruder' turned out to be a lizard. Pythor didn't seem to thrilled about it either as he had an annoyed look on his face, to which Lloyd replied sheepishly, "Whoops. False alarm, heh heh. Well--I was just testing you. Yeah, that's it!"
That's when I heard screaming.
It was faint at first, but it gradually grew louder as the seconds went by.
"Look out!"
Next thing I knew I had pushed Lloyd to the side as an anchor came crashing down through the roof.
I coughed out the dust that formed and got off of Lloyd, who's face had taken on a dark shade of red.
"Uh--Th-th-th-thanks, A-A-Aya--"
I didn't hear his words for I had already ran to the hole that had appeared in the ceiling to see what was going on.
Currently the ninja were making their way towards us; well, two of them anyway. Seems like Pythor dealt with Kai and Zane. So all that was left was Cole and Jay--
Wait, scratch that. Pythor just dealt with Cole, leaving Jay, who was currently climbing the stairs up to here.
Lloyd started running around the perimeter repeatedly shouting, "They're coming! They're coming!"
Pythor soon came and threw a wooden board atop the trapdoor to stop Jay, which also meant that he blocked my only "safe" way to leave undetected.
