Lloyd's P.O.V.

This...can't be happening.

I watched in a mix of fear and disbelief as the Great Devourer rose from the ground.

"You must do everything in your power to stop the Great Devourer," my uncle yelled. "Go, Ninja! Go!  "

Nya had taken off, as per instructions from my uncle, but the rest of us stayed.

The Great Devourer locked eyes with my uncle and Pythor.

I paled and my eyes widened when the beast plummeted down towards them.

I wanted to scream; but no sound formed.

Then it turned towards us.

I wanted to run, to do something, but my body wouldn't move.

I felt someone wrap their arms around me and soon found myself on the Bounty.

I didn't even feel the familiar nausea when Aya does that. I only stared at my surroundings in a daze.

It wasn't until Nya screamed "I said, fire up the engines!  " at me that I regained my conscious.

I ran to the control panel where Aya was. "There's no wind!" I said. "And we only have reserve fuel!"

"Use it!"

The others began to tumble onto the ship just as we started it up.

Jay, who was the last one in, looked at the screen. "Uh, hate to tell you this, but objects in the mirror are closer than they appear!"

"I'm working on it!" She answered in a frantic tone. "Blasters on full!"

We took off into the air just in time before the Devourer got us.

Kai cheered. "Take that, you stupid snake!"

However, even with our newly gained speed, the Devourer suddenly erupted from the ground behind us. It was closer than before.

"I think it heard you," Jay gulped.

Nya made a sharp turn to avoid the snake's chomping jaws.

"Nya, we gotta go faster! I think it's gaining on us!" Kai said.

"We're going as fast as we can! I'll try to make it to Scatter Canyon."

"Probability of us making it that far is less than 8 percent--"

"NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS!" Nya snapped.

"It's coming in for another attack," Cole warned beside me at the control panel. "Portside!"

We barely managed to dodge the Devourer in time.

I looked back at the data before me and noticed something bad. "We're losing speed! We'll drop to the ground pretty soon!"

"Throw everything overboard!"

"WHAT?!" We all shouted surprised, looking at Nya as if she were insane.

"We need to lose some weight--"

"PORTSIDE!" I shouted, but it was too late.

The Devourer managed to bite off one of out thrusters.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed Ayata was staring out beyond the door. I stopped her just as she was about to leave.

"What are you doing?"

She didn't answer for a moment. It was almost like she was in a trance. "I'm going to help the others."

That was all she said before taking off.
