IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE. SERIOUSLY. READ IT: Okay, I've gotten some stuff about how my story is similar to other Lab Rats stories. Yes, this is going to be true. I have taken some inspiration from other stories, as I know a lot of stories vary the OC being a bionic, just a friend, or another superhero. Looking at some of the plans I have for this story (thanks to a comment) I realise now that it is very similar to a great story called Black Arrow by wattpad user Kiss_Me_Sweetie, I've read it, too (I highly recommend it). However, I didn't get very far into that story before I started writing this one and some of the ideas I have for this story I came up with before I read through the three books of that story. So if people notice similarities or parallels, I promise and I swear that they aren't meant to be. It has been a very long time since I've actually read through those books, but she just updated somewhat recently so she's still in the midst of writing those books. I don't want to put any spoilers for my plans in this author's note, but if you happen to find a similarity, maybe it's stayed in my head from when I read and reread other stories, but I swear, I'm not trying to copy or steal her work. I respect all these writers and the creators/writers of Lab Rats itself, I don't want to seem like I am disrespecting them. And if Kiss_Me_Sweetie is reading this, I love your book, but I swear, I'm not trying to steal your work. I got inspiration for a superhero story from your book, yes, but that's it. If you have a problem with this story, please message me and I will work something out with you. Thanks guys.

"Brooke?"

Her head shot up, eyes wide with fear.

"No...Nononononono..." She scurried backwards from Chase, who had his mouth agape, not able to say anything. Leaving her bike in the garage, Brooke sprinted away from the boy.

Chase could only just stare as the shock settled in. Brooke is...no...

He stood up and took a step to go after her, only to have his foot settle on the forgotten mask. He looked down at the now cracked mask. Chase took a seat next to Brooke's bike, holding the mask in his hands, a hurt look now covering his face.

All the missions they were on, all the heroics he had seen on TV, it had been Brooke. The entire time. All the pop up shifts, all the lies.

It hurt Chase immensely that Brooke had been lying to him for months, possibly years. He traced his finger down the nose of the mask, thinking about how many times she had been so close, and him having no idea. After a few moments of sitting quietly, he finally got up.

He started walking numbly toward the garage door, mask still in hand, his gaze on the floor. He did however, stop at the call of his name. Chase glanced up to see his sister standing at the door, a smile on her face. "Chase, Tasha was going to get us ice cream as a wel-" Bree cut herself off as she got a good look at Chase's face. It was stricken with hurt, it made him look almost broken. "Chase?"

"You knew, didn't you?"

Bree hardly heard the question, let alone understand it, at first. "I'm sorry?"

"You knew."

Bree shook her head as Chase repeated himself, still confused by the vague statement. Just as she was about to ask what he was on about, her eyes trailed to the wolf mask in his hand. She gasped and looked back at the broken look on her younger brother's face. "Chase, I-"

"No excuses Bree." Chase's calm, monotone voice scared Bree more than if he was yelling. It hid how well Chase was taking the situation, but judging on the look on his face, he wasn't doing so well. "How long have you known?"

Bree averted her gaze. "A few months now. After our first real days of school..."

Chase gaped at his sister, shocked at how long his sister knew. How long she knew but not him.
