Brooklyn P.O.V

"Brooke! Wake up! Come on, get up!" Leo was shouting.

"Go away Leo!" I shouted through my pillow.

"But it's Adam, Bree and Chase's official first day of school!" he said.

"Fine, but if you piss me off even more this morning don't be surprised if you end up with a boot in your side," I warned and threatened. I heard him make a noise that was something like a mix between a squeal and a scream and I heard him running out of my room. Yay! I got up out of my bed and got dressed. I headed downstairs to get breakfast.

"Morning, Brooklyn," Tasha said from the kitchen.

"Morning, Tasha. Do you know where everyone else is?" I asked her.

"Everyone's down in the lab. Would you like something to eat?"

"I'll just take an apple, thanks Tasha!" I said as I took an apple and headed down to the lab. "Sup people," I said as I entered the lab.

"Hey Brooke! We finally get to go to school together!" Bree squealed and I smirked.

"Yep, but just remember it's going to feel like living hell," I warned the rats. We all crowded around the cyber desk for Mr. Davenport to say if the rats are stable enough to go to school.

"Ok, guys. You have been trained for all kinds of missions, but you are about to enter a soul-ruining, confidence-crushing, apocalyptic environment. High school," Mr. Davenport said.

"In other words living hell. Were you not listening to me?" I asked him and Leo rolled his eyes and nodded.

"Adam, Bree, you're glitch results were fairly stable," Mr. Davenport continued as if I didn't say anything.

"Yes! I'm going to school!" Bree squealed. As you can tell, between the two of us, she's the hyper, more perky one. I'm the smart, rebellious one.

        "I'm fairly stable!" Adam yelled.

"I think you just scratched the surface of stable Adam," I said and everyone else nodded.

"Chase, I'm still concerned about your commando app," Mr. Davenport said. Oh no, I forgot about that! Spike always creeped me out.

"Commando app?!?!?! Put on some underpants we're going to school!" Leo exclaimed.

"Whoa, that is NOT what he means by commando!" I shouted and slapped Leo upside the head hard. "Ow!!!"

"No, see, in the face of an emanate threat, Chase's commando app kicks in and he becomes a fearless brute I like to call 'Spike'!" Davenport shook Chase's shoulder as he said that while I just shuddered. "It's kind of like a fighter flight thing, except I took out the flight part, 'cause useless, and I replaced it with a testosterone level of a Tasmanian devil, wolverine, shark, lion hybrid that's mad," he finished. And by the way he looked, Spike isn't the only thing that's 'mad'. But in this case, Mr. Davenport is as mad as a hatter.

"Don't worry Mr. Davenport. I promise Spike won't rear his ugly head," Chase said.

"Oh, yeah? You mean like last Christmas when I made the mistake of giving Adam boxing gloves?" Mr. Davenport asked. Ooooh, right.

Flashback to last Christmas

Bree, Mr. Davenport and I were hiding behind one of the computers while Spike flipped Adam over and stood on his chest. "Anybody else confused about the 'don't punch me' rule?" Spike asked. We all shook our heads and just stared at Spike. Spike growled and looked all of us over and when he looked at me, he smirked and winked at me. I shuddered when he did that because it was creepy.
