Brooklyn P.O.V

It's been a week since the whole Spike incident and since Bree found out about me being Lone Wolf. Things definitely have been different with her helping me. We've been spying on a gang that's in an abandoned part of town and they've been having a pretty low profile. Anyways, back to the present. I was in the hallway talking with Adam and Chase about the upcoming dance, which I will be rejecting guys like crazy, when Leo came over to us.

"Guys, with the dance coming up, I thought you could use a lesson on how to ask a lady out," Leo said.

"Oh, great. Do you know a guy who can teach us?" Adam asked. Leo's face was priceless when he said that.

        "Me!" Leo said.

"And, he knows what about that?" I muttered into Chase's ear and he laughed.

"You're going to watch me out the girl of my dreams, Danielle," Leo said dreamily as he looked in the direction of a blonde girl sitting on a bench.

"Leo, you have said that about most of the girls in this school. I'm pretty sure that you called me your dream girl at one point," I said to him and he just glared at me.

"Danielle?" Chase asked, trying to get back to the conversation. "Isn't she the girl who uses you as a foot stool in math class?"

Leo turned toward Chase. "Where else is she supposed to put her feet?" Leo asked. "On the floor?" he said disgusted.

"Oh I thought the floor was just here as decoration," I said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.

"Open your notebooks, boys. 'Cause class is in session," Leo said and he tried to "swagger" his way over to Danielle. What an idiot.

"Hey, I bet you ten bucks that Leo gets rejected and she calls him by a different name," I whispered in Chase's ear.

"You're on," Chase said then it looked like he got an idea. He leaned up to Adam and whispered in his ear, "I bet you ten bucks that Leo gets rejected and she calls him by a different name."

"Done," Adam said and Chase smirked at me.

"Well played Chase, well played," I said and Chase laughed. We all turned our attention back to the scene that was about to unfold.

"Hello Danielle," Leo said and Danielle looked up at him. "Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice," Leo said. Wow Leo, just wow. That was the lamest conversation starter. EVER. "I'm Leo Dooley."

"Didn't you send me eighty seven e-mails?" Danielle asked. Oh come on, Dooley. That is just sad and shows that you're desperate.

"Yeah, that was a slow day," Leo said, why does he look proud?

"Ok, well... see you later Lenny," Danielle said and she just left Leo sitting there on the bench.

"It's Leo, by the way..." Leo called after her and we all walked over to him, he also waved pathetically after her as well. Once again, what an idiot.

"Cough up the cash Chase," I said to him while holding out my hand.

"Hold on," Chase said to me then he turned to Adam. "Adam, give me the money."

Adam groaned and handed Chase a $10 bill, in which Chase handed it to me. "Again, I say well played, Chase. Well played," I said and he laughed.

"So Leo, what should I write down in my notebook? I mean, other than DENIED?" Chase asked Leo jokingly.

"Oh no, you can cheat off me," Adam said to Chase and showed him his notebook. "I have "she's not going to the dance with Lenny."" I laughed at this and Leo glared at me.

"Dude, you know that you barely have a chance with her right?" I said to him.

"You don't know that!" he shot back.

"Leo you didn't have a chance with me. So... I can imagine that you don't have a chance with her," I said and he just glared at me.

Leo shook his head and Bree came over to us, looking annoyed and in distress. "Are you guys talking about the dance, too?" she asked us annoyed. "Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this stupid dance?"

"Nobody's asked you yet, have they?" Chase mocked and I hit his arm.

        "Be nice," I said.

"No!" she whined. "And I really wanna go with that guy," she said and pointed to Ethan. He's one of the most popular guys in school so a lot of girls want him. I believe I have math with him. "His name's Ethan. We sit next to each other in chemistry," Bree explained. "Coincidence? I think not! Chemistry!" she sing-songed that last part. "What should I do?"

"I got this," Chase said as he stepped up. He moved his hand behind his ear and I knew he was activating his super hearing. "He's talking about a girl he thinks is cute," Chase said and Bree looked hopeful. Chase then cringed, "Ew! He's talking about you!" When he said that, Bree lit up like a Christmas tree. "And he's coming over here to ask you to the dance!"

"What? No! Now? Why? Really?" Bree started flipping out, then Ethan walked up to us.

"How's it going?" he asked and Bree just shut her mouth and stared at Ethan.

"Sup Ethan," I said to him.

"Oh hey, Brooke," he smiled at me then turned his attention back to Bree.

"Ethan!" Chase said, over working his words. "What a huge surprise! To see you here! For reason's we do not know!"

I pulled Chase's shirt so I could whisper in his ear. "Dial it down," I said through clenched teeth so Ethan wouldn't hear.

"Hi Ethan!" Bree blurted out and I knew that this was going to end badly. And I was right. Bree started fumbling over her words and Ethan just started to look confused when Bree suddenly pointed off somewhere. "What is that over there?" she asked and when Ethan turned his head, Bree super speeded out of school.

"Where'd she go?" Ethan asked confusedly when he turned back to us.

"Uh...uh....More importantly, what is that over there?" Adam said and pointed in the same direction Bree did. When Ethan turned his head again, Chase grabbed my hand and we all made a break for it. After we ran, Chase and I ran to our lockers while Leo and Adam when somewhere else.

"So, what about you?" Chase asked me in curiosity.

"What about me?" I asked him as I opened my locker.

"I mean, are you going to the dance?"

"I have normally gone for moral support for Leo, I've never had a date to a dance. I always reject the guys who ask me," I told him as I took my books out.

"Wait, how many guys have you rejected so far? And why?"

"Well, I think I've rejected about 20 guys in the last 3 days, and I rejected them all because they're idiots and perverts," I replied smugly.

"Well, I was thinking that...uh...since neither of us have dates...and...and it would be awkward to go-" Chase started rambling and stuttering.

"Chase just spit it out," I cut him off.

"IwashopingthatyouandIcouldgotogether," he said really fast, so I didn't understand it.

"What? I'm sorry I didn't catch that," I said and Chase sighed.

"I was hoping that you and I could go together," Chase said clearly as he looked down and I smiled at his awkwardness.

        "Really?" I asked him, hopefully.

"I mean I understand if you don't wanna go with me, if you wanna go with Adam or someone else-" he started rambling again.

"Chase!" I cut him off and got his attention. "I'd love to go with you," I smiled at him and he started grinning like an idiot.

"Really?" I nodded and he looked like he was going to explode. "Yes!" he pumped his fists into the air and I giggled. He then realized what he was doing then stopped and started blushing.

"I'll see you later Chase, I have to get to class," I told him.

"Ok, see you," he replied and what he did next really surprised me and I feel all giddy inside because of it. Chase kissed my cheek. My eyes widened a bit, as well as his and we both started blushing. We looked at each other then we walked in different directions to our classes. Wow, it's been an interesting morning.
