When Adeline Parker was only two years old she had learned that her parents had died. Being very young at the time Adeline didn't really understand where they went or why they went always asking questions such as "When will mommy and daddy come back?" or "Where did they go?". She had never quite grasped the fact that they had truly gone for good until she was around 7 or 8 years old and she was devastated. She could hardly remember her parents so she usually relies on Peter and her aunt and uncle to tell her about them. Her Aunt May and Uncle Ben had taken in Peter and Adeline when they had died, which Adeline was very grateful for, who knows what would of happened if they hadn't had. Adeline grew up with her aunt and uncle taking up the role of mother and father and the same goes for Peter. They supported her dream of dancing they always showed up to her competitions, cheered her on, and helped her with her hair and makeup (surprisingly  Uncle Ben was very good at doing French Twists) and sometimes taking her to classes. They were truly the best family she could ask for and she loved them very much.

When Adeline Parker's uncle died everything changed.

Aunt May became lost with the death of her beloved husband and began to distract herself by working ten times as much as before. She stopped smiling and laughing but always tried to put on a facade for the children but Adeline could always see through it. She was hardly home and when she was she was always busy cleaning or sleeping.

Adeline learned not to bother her anymore.

Peter became closed off. He stopped talking to Adeline about his days and there were no more late night conversations in the kitchen over a glass of milk about everything ranging from school to if some girl shoved you walking home although, this did also have something to do with the fact that he had sold her out and spilled her secrets that she trusted him with to everyone Peter had always tried to make an effort to talk to her but not anymore. It was almost like he had given up. He began sneaking out at night and during the days to do God knows what and hiding secrets from Adeline- something Peter never used to do before.

They were no longer inseparable.

Adeline was crushed. She had never really been a victim of knowing someone who had died apart from her parents of course and her pet fish, Pig. The young girl had a close relationship with her Uncle Ben and when she heard the news of his death she cried for 5 hours straight. The only father figure she had was gone, just like that.

He had been the one to help her start to eat again.

He had been the one that reminded her everyday she was beautiful no matter what.

He had been the one the re-build her confidence in herself up again.

He had been the one to try and fix her and Peter's relationship and when he died all hope of that disappeared.

But most importantly he had been the only person who saw her not just as someone ho needed fixing.

So for him to be just gone, was crushing for her.

She stopped listening to everything everyone said and stopped eating again. She become more closed off from her family. She had became independent. There was no use on depending on anyone else for anything anymore- they will just end up leaving in the end with all your love.

Maybe that's why Adeline liked Loki so much. He was like the father figure she craved so much to have in her life- who she could trust and believe in. Who she could talk to. Maybe she was foolish or maybe she was just plain crazy but something about Loki just drawered her into him. Maybe it's because he's in pain and misunderstood like her or maybe it was just because he was funny, whatever it was she didn't care she just enjoyed his presence.

Steve was someone she trusted as well. He was loving, selfless and protective- everything she loved in people. He was so nice to her when he didn't have to. He didn't have to drop her home the first night they met or pick her up from dance or ask if she was okay but he did it anyway. And surprisingly Adeline was glad.

But most of all her friends. Adeline has no idea what she would have done if she didn't have Noah, Riele or Alex in her life. They brought her out of her shell and helped her through the death of her uncle with sleepovers, movie nights and even just holding her while she cried. They truly were the best friends ever. Maybe even for one of them more then friends,

Slowly over time Adeline started depending on people and trusting them more and it was all down to the help of the Avengers and her group.
