The sound of cutlery clinking was all the could be heard in the dining room of the Avengers tower as everyone ate dinner. Adeline didn't know how she felt towards them at the moment. She knew she felt angry and betrayed but she also knew where they were coming from. Not that she would admit it as selfish as it sounded she wanted to see them (mostly Peter) suffer for hurting her.
"So how was everybody's day?" Steve asked trying to break the tension in the room. "Oh it's been great apart from the part where I fainted, was forced to leave dance early, had my kiss ruined, nearly got killed by an ex-hydra assassin, found out my brother was a superhero who has nearly gotten killed many times and I've been given a duet with my ex-friend who hates me. So you know it's just been a normal, average day." Adeline said giving a sarcastic smile.
Peter from across the table rolled his eyes at her shaking his head "Well the first part was your own fault." Peter said. Adeline glared at him "Yes totally it was all my fault."
"It was. You can't blame your issues on other people because you don't own up to your mistakes. All of this could of been avoided if you just ate!! But you don't because you're selfish." Peter finally exploded at Adeline. "Woah Peter calm down." Tony said putting his hand on Peter's shoulder.
"Tony it's fine. If Peter wants to be a hypocrite who are we to stop him." Adeline retaliated. Peter laughed humorously "Hypocrite? Please enlighten me."
"You talk about me being selfish when you're the most selfish person I know! You get mad at me yet you're the one who runs around town nearly getting killed. What if you died huh? Or you get seriously injured. You didn't even think about how me and Aunt May would feel if something happened to you." Adeline shouted rising from her seat, she shook her head "All you care about is making sure that people love you because you wanted to be a 'hero'."
"Oh yeah? You say that I don't care what you and Aunt May would think if I died when you've been doing it too!" Peter shouted back also rising from his seat to stand in front of Adeline. "All the trips to the hospital, all the fainting and throwing up. ALL THE TIMES WE HAD TO WATCH YOU COMPLETELY DESTROY YOURSELF IN THIS SLOW FORM OF SUICIDE AND FOR WHAT? TO BE SKINNY WHEN YOU'RE ALREADY THE THINNEST PERSON I KNOW. It's pathetic." Peter scoffed letting his anger get the best of him.
Adeline sighed trying to hide her sadness before saying the words that she would regret for the rest of her life. "Well at least I didn't kill Uncle Ben."
"Don't you dare." he spat before Peter raised his hand and slapped Adeline right across her face. Gasping Adeline fell onto the floor holding her face shock wincing as she felt an oncoming bruise forming.
At this the Avengers rushed forward to break them up as the argument it went too far. Loki bent down to help Adeline up before giving Peter a nasty glare.
Peter who had just realised what he had done stepped towards Adeline, regret written on his face "Adeline I'm so sorry." he said reaching for her only stopping as she flinched and buried her self into Loki's chest. "Peter I think it's best if you left the room." Bruce said ushering him away from the scared teen. "Come on Addy I'll get you an ice pack." Steve said leading her into the kitchen.
Peter sighed sitting down running his hands through his hair "Oh my God what have I done? I'm a horrible person. Adeline's going to hate me." he whispered to himself but Tony who was standing behind him heard him. "Pete you are not a horrible person. But you need to listen to me I know that Adeline said some things that made you lash out but you can't. Especially on humans. With your super strength you could of seriously hurt her and you need to be more careful next time. And Adeline could never hate you." Tony said to Peter putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "No I am. She flinched. SHE FLINCHED. What kind of brother makes their little sister so afraid of them that they flinch."

"Oh my God Peter hates me." Adeline said crying. She was mostly crying about her fight with Peter but also due to the pain in her cheek. "Addy he doesn't hate you." Loki said trying to calm her down, running his hands through her hair with one hand and making sure the ice pack stayed on her cheek with the other. "Yes he does. We've argued before but he's never slapped me," she cried "I took it too far it's all my fault."
Natasha leaned forward and wiped her tears away "Now ангел calm down. Peter lost control and he's sorry about that but you can't overthink things like this. But I can tell you one thing for certain Peter loves you more than anything. He could never hate you."
"I want Noah." Adeline cried. "Okay I'll ring him and tell him to come here okay sweetie." Natasha said to Adeline who nodded. "Thank you." Adeline thanked her.
Steve who had heard everything Adeline had just said made his way over to where Tony and Peter were at the exact same time Tony was looking for Adeline and Steve. Both of them pointed at each other and said "Addy/Peter thinks that Peter/Addy hates them." at the same time sighing in relief when they realised neither of the siblings actually hated each other. "Okay we need to get them to talk and clear things up."
Noah who had heard the news rushed into the tower and straight to where Adeline was. "Oh my God baby are you okay?" he exclaimed rushing forward and hugging her. "Noah!" They both stayed wrapped around each other before Noah pulled away and gently brushed Adeline's hair away from her cheek to check on her bruise wincing as he saw that it was red but it would turn purple in a day or two.
"Wow Ads this is the second time I've had to rush here to see if you're okay. I might ask to get a loyalty card." Noah joked laughing when Adeline gently smacked his arm while Loki, Natasha and Clint watched the scene smiling slightly knowing Adeline was in good arms they left to give them some privacy.
The two sat talking for a while before Steve and Tony came into the room with an apprehensive Peter trailing behind them. "I think you two need to talk."
