What if she didn't die?
Everyone had got up extra early on the morning of Adeline's birthday so they could set up and make it extra special.
Steve, Bruce and Natasha were cooking breakfast, a feast of pancakes, waffles, eggs and bacon, Peter was organising her presents in a way that was 'aesthetically pleasing' as he had put it, Wanda and Pietro were hanging up banners and balloons with their powers, Tony was just sitting there as 'he provided the fundings' and the rest were just running around making sure everything was perfect. They couldn't wait to surprise Addy.
"So who's gonna wake up the birthday girl?" Tony asked. "I'll go." Peter volunteered finally happy with the present placement. He had got her something exceptionally special for her birthday. Sure Tony may of bought her a car, but he's a millionaire who bought something with little sentimental value. Peter's gift was special.
He had made her a photo album of all his favourite moments, ranging from baby pics to pictures of the Avengers extended eating ice cream from a couple months ago. She was going to love it.
Peter slowly approached her door opening it the slightest and knocking softly to try and wake up his baby sister. He smiled at the sight of her curled up in a ball under the covers and walked forward. "Addy c'mon wake up it's your birthday!" he said loudly shaking her.
Adeline rolled over and groaned "Too early go away." Peter laughed shaking his head "It's your birthday! You have presents to open!"
"Presents!?" Adeline shot up at the mention of gifts. "Well then what are we waiting for let's go!" she exclaimed jumping up and running out of her room.
She was stopped by two large hands grabbing her waist and turning her around, "Slow down there Adeline before you open any presents I want you to go wash up and eat breakfast." She sighed but nevertheless did what he told her to do "Okay mom."
"ITS MY BIRTHDAY BITCHES!" Adeline shouted running into the kitchen still in her penguin onesie, which they all thought was adorable, and jumping into one of the stools. "Excuse me young lady, cap does not tolerate that sort of language." Tony said pulling a fake stern look. Steve merely rolled his eyes at his team mate. One by one each member came up to her, hugged her and wished her a happy birthday.
"Wow this all looks yummy." Adeline said digging into her pancakes and eggs. "Presents now?" she asked Steve using her puppy dog eyes that no one could resist. "Presents now." Steve said in confirmation.
"Thank you guys all so much. I really don't deserve you guys." she said looking at all their amazing presents. "Awh don't says that kiddo, course you do." Clint said ruffling her hair.
"While we're on the topic, can I just get confirmation from Addy that I got her the best present?" Bucky said smirking at how annoyed everyone else looked. "No way mortal! Obviously it was mine." Thor boomed.
